The by far the best hostel I've ever stayed in. Surrounded my rainforest and native bush you feel like your in the middle of a rainforest with the bonus of Nelson Bay 10mins down the road and beautiful beaches. Spacious rooms and a wicked bush kitchen which is great for socialising with other travellers and the local wildlife :-)

We stayed for 3 nights in a double cabin with private bathroom and wow this is no ordinary YHA! Our cabin was clean and stylish and well equipped with fridge and microwave, cutlery etc and a well equipped bush kitchen is situated in the centre of the park hidden from view by dense bush. The swimming pool was very welcome,...

This is a interestingly located collection of bush bungalows. There is an open kitchen frequented by wildlife and it's located close to shops and beaches (a car is ideal though). The accomodation is adequate, we stayed in the family room (1 of 2) with shared bathroom. The mattress was well beyond expiry date and the bathroom too. Some of the...

A friend and I stayed here for five night and we just loved it. The hosts did a great introduction to the whole of the Port Stephens area for us (explore as much as you can, it's stunning!) They were kind, friendly and clearly love running the place, they set the tone for our stay there and were always on...

Bungalows are distributed around the reception (with a swimming pool) and a lovely, clean and well-equipped bush kitchen. You literally stay "in the bush" with chances to see all sorts and sizes of lizards, possoms, birds, and occasionally pythons and koalas (we didn't unfortunately but there was one by a bungalow one evening during our stay and another one was...

Me & My sister decided to stop here last minute on our road trip up the coast, availability was good. We had no trouble getting a booking it was nice and simple. The location of the hostel though is something to mention. Now I don't know if its just the area in general or if its just this hostel but...

My bushwalking club booked out the whole YAH for a weekend and a great spot. Comfortable rooms with double bed and double bunks, fridge, tv, heater. Shared bathroom between 2 cabins was fine. Friendly manager. A bit too cool for the pool yet. Convenient to Nelsons Bay etc.

Bungalow with huntsman spider living under the gutter (non-poisonous), kooks who pinch pieces of meat from the open kitchen, bush / rainforest all around /carpet pythons to hug, great company, great owners - who could ask for more. Simply THE BEST accomodation in the area.

We stayed in one of the deluxe bungalows which I highly recommended for any couple coming to port Stephens for a weekend. For this being a youth hostel it's supper quiet and all the rooms and bungalows are spread across the beautiful couple of acres of Forrest. It's located nice and close to both Anna bay and Nelson bay which...

This place has a world of charm :) It is still very bushy and natural in its environment.....just like a wilderness escape! The cabins themselves are clean, simple and comfortable. We stayed in a standard room that shares a bathroom with 1 other room- this was a point of concern for my boyfriend as he prefers privacy and convenience especially...
