Le Manoir de la Rivière was truly the highlight of our family visit to France. Our hosts, Gérard and Isabelle LEHARIVEL made us feel welcome at first sight. The B&B is a large, old stone farmhouse, with ample room for guests and a spacious dining area with a giant hearth that is so hard to find. Madame's food was outstanding...

Turned up unannounced while visiting the D-Day beaches... looked magnificent and couldn't resist asking if they had a room for the night. Madame was very friendly and welcomed us in. The building dates back to medieval times and has tons of character; room was spacious and a travel-cot provided for our little one. Madame supplied us with a wonderful homemade...

We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable - and our own room was huge with 2 double beds and a single, along with a large table and other chairs. The breakfasts were delicious and included home made rolls and jams, cheeses, fruit compote and creamy rice pudding. The owners were both very charming,...

If it is just once your pleasure to dine on Mme Leharivel's Poulet de la Ferme in their commodious dining room with a fire blazing in probably the most awesome fireplace you'll ever see, with the knowledge that a room oozing with history and charm awaits upstairs (or, if you're lucky, in the guard tower!), then you will surely begin...

This little family run B&B is ideally situated for D-day beach visits but in the country side which makes for a peaceful winding down after a day of sight seeing. Our rooms were clean and very comfortable. The rooms were huge! A family friendly B&B with a lovely hostess. The home made apricot jam was yummy!

Do not be deceived by the superficial beauty of the setting or the initial warmth of the welcome. 150 euros a night is far too steep a price for what is on offer at Manoir de la Riviere. Four of us were shown into our two tiny rooms, linked by a claustrophobic corridor off which were the lavatory and shower...

The owners are very friendly and helpful (though it surely is an advantage, if you speak some French). Very spacious, clean and well equipped rooms. The breakfast really makes a big difference, since most is homemade resp. from the own farm.

We were there for a weekend with my wife. She made the reservation and selected the special offer "Belle saison" on the web site. The offer includes rooms for 2 nights, breakfast and 2 diners. Unfortuantely the diner on Friday was served until 8pm and we could not make it. On saturday night they prentended to be fully booked... Surprisingly...

“We requested a room for three and had a private bath, ample space, and a great view of the surrounding farm and countryside.”

“There were a number of external doorways (ie all rooms were not linked by central corridors); 3 rooms we saw all differed greatly in size, with different doorways; if there are a group of you or you want adjoining rooms suggest you request at the time of booking”
