ur experience: We love Giez and were happy to come back to this area of Lake Annecy as it's a bit further out. The apartment is in a great location and the pool and games room are great for the kids. We were in an apartment which was one bedroom and then the kids area is an open area next...

Firstly the positives; Residence Le Birdie is a well maintained chalet resort which is set in the middle of stunning scenery. The chalets are clean enough , the facilities are clean and the staff are friendly, courteous and helpful . However , there are several things that wouldn't make me choose this venue again . The location while being stunning...

We stayed here for a few nights in the summer on the way back from a villa holiday in Italy. It was nice and clean but quite basic accommodation. However it is very reasonably priced. We have three kids and stayed in a studio apartment which was quite snug! Reception was closed when we got there but luckily we noticed...

We had a good stay at Le Birdie recently. The swimming pool was great and playground while small was nice to have. It is really well located and the nearby town of Faverges is lovely with shops, bicycle hire, tourist info, etc. However, we felt it was overpriced for quite basic self catering accommodation. WiFi was only available in the...

Stayed one night after driving down from Calais. Great as a stopover before heading up to the ski resorts (Courchevel - La Tania for us). We were in La Tania by 9.30am (less than 1 hours drive) and skiing by 11am on the quiet Saturday (change over day) slopes :-). Very basic hotel/rooms, but comfortable and clean. Poor communication between...

We stayed here for a couple of nights towards the end of our holiday in the Alps. First of all the complex is located at the foot of the mountains in the tiny village of Giez, the village although very quaint offers no dining or shops etc. apparently their is a restaurant at the nearby golf course but we didn't...

This is the third time that we have stayed at Residence le birdie and unfortunately, it will probably be the last. It was several years ago that we first stayed here and since then the accomodations and the site in general have not been renovated and are looking very tired and worn. The appartments are basic but have all the...

As people have said, neat, basic apartments with a 2 ring cooker and 'most' kitchen utensils you would need. We were here in the winter and the rooms are well insulated for both sound and heat. Lovely big corner bath fed by a large capacity cylinder, so no worries about hot water. Wifi is in the games room and a...

We attended a wedding near Giez in July. (The reception was at the Golf Club House in Giez). Le Birdie is a terrific deal, especially if you book for a week. It came to around $100/night even adding on the cost of renting linens, basic personal hygiene products, and toilet paper (many European travelers bring their own) and having breakfast....

Thank you very much for your commentary. We are pleased that your stay for a wedding was an opportunity for relaxing holidays in our region. The Giez golf's restaurant is opened to everybody and is very good. We are sorry that somme customers arrivings on Saturday at the same time have to wait for ckeck in. As for swimming pools,...

Stayed in an apartment on 2nd floor so had a nice balcony to sit on. Weather was hot so with only the balcony door that opens, ventilation was non existent. No aircon. There was a small window in the apartment but it does not open. It looked very new so why they did not make it open to help this...
