If you are looking for a B&B because you want to visit the abbey of West-Vleteren, want to visit In Flanders Fields, want to walk and bike in the Westhoek or just want to enjoy a relaxing weekend, look no further, you found the right place. The B&B has 5 great rooms, all different, all beautiful, warm, well maintained and nicely decorated. The B&B is just behind the West-Vleteren abbey, where you can taste one of the best beers in the world (that is what connoisseurs say). The very friendly hosts serve a sumptuous breakfast with different breads, home made jams, cheese and meats from the area, fresh fruit, yoghurt, freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee or tea and eggs. The owner makes and sells jams, for which the fruits are grown on the land around the B&B, so there is a beautiful garden where breakfast is served on the terrace if the weather allows. You will not be dissapointed.…
This review is long overdue. My husband and I stayed here three years ago. We stayed here to be close to the Abbey, as we were on a beer vacation. The home is very clean and beautiful. It is quiet, which is what we wanted. It is situated in front of a small forest (that leads to the Abbey), a picture of this forest is the wallpaper on my phone. We enjoyed breakfast here every morning, and the homemade jams and jellies were absolutely delicious. We were able to have dinner as well, which we very much enjoyed. We enjoying walking through the small garden, as well. I fell off my bike into some stinging nettles and the owner graciously helped me take care of the subsequent rash. We hope to come back to this place, we have such great memories here. Anyone would be lucky to stay here.
