We came here for our honeymoon 15 years ago and decided this year to see if we could revisit and bring our children with us - all 4 of them. Mary and Drew were really accommodating and provided extra bedding for the children and an air bed and we had the most wonderful holiday. The weather was beautiful and we...

This is one of the most lovely places on earth ! Drew and Mary have done exactly what I think they wanted to do. That is to make the simple pleasures ie, a small, warm, comfy environment for all to enjoy. Fantastic as very little (if any) mobile phone signal is available and this forces you to look elsewhere for...

Mary's thatched cottages are the most beautiful little group of 4 cottages on the edge of the village of Elgol. They stand out from all the other buildings around as they are so tasteful and traditional. Other reviewers have commented they are pricey but you get what you pay for and they have everything you could need. The warm stone...

Beautiful cottages in the village of Elgol. Fantastically well equipped with everything one needs for a holiday and more. The owners, Drew and Mary, live nearby and are very welcoming. Can't recommend them highly enough

What a truly special place! The cottages are every bit as beautiful as they look on the website and surprisingly spacious inside. Despite apparently being years old, they felt brand new and were clearly well maintained. Each cottage has the kind of view you come to Skye for. Sadly the restaurant next door was closed when we visited so we...

To be honest, the only thing keeping me from giving the cottages an 'excellent' rating is the overall value, as I feel the rates are quite steep, even for the off-season. So that said, the location is perfect, the most beautiful and quietest part of Skye, and the cottage was very cosy and well equipped for nearly any occurrence or...

Beautiful cottage in an idyllic location. The cottage was extremely clean and welcoming. The cottage had all the facilities we could ask for however my only suggestion would be that a folder containing all the instructions to work the various appliances would have been useful. We struggled to work out how to turn down the heating including the underfloor heating....

We stayed here last year (apologies for the delay in reviewing) and it was superb. We stayed in the upstairs area of the main building (downstairs is where the owners live) and there are two bedrooms, both quite small. The main upstairs area is the lounge / kitchen, and it is all about comfy sofas and beautiful views. There is...
