Rowan Cottage was the perfect place to finish our visit to Scotland. The location and views are great. Christine and Jim are so friendly and helpful. Nothing seems to be a problem. Christine's home made banana cake and Jim's porridge were perfect. Chris & Rosie.

Rowan Cottage is by far the best B&B we stayed at on Skye. It is a long drive to get there, but what does that matter, when you drive through some of the most stunning views on the island and the views from Rowan Cottage beats everything. Jim (unfortunately we didn´t get to meet Christine) and even the dog Socks...

We stopped for one night and were made to feel very much at home by Christine the owner and Jim the crew. The cottage was spotless and the superb view well-assisted by the glorious weather. Nothing is too much trouble for these friendly and special people including bringing a toilet bag, which had been left by mistake, down to the...

We stayed here two nights. The cottage is so nice and so are the hosts. You will get the most beautiful view from all the rooms in the cottage. If you love nature - this is the place to choose. We took a boattrip to Loch Coruisk and Walked back. We had a great time. The two danes

The drive on the single-track road from Broadford to Elgol adds to the feeling of getting away from it all, as you head toward Rowan Cottage. The views of mountains and lochs along the drive are lovely. Tip on directions: drive all the way out to Elgol, go through Elgol, and continue east on the road until you reach a...

May 2013: What a lovely place to stay. Fantastic views from the bedroom window and a genuine warm welcome from Christine and Jim. Jim's suggested walk to Tommy's Seat was a lovely after dinner stroll with 360 degree views of Skye and the Highlands. Great food too. We would recommend this to anybody. Thank you folks!

My wife and I spent a night at Rowan cottage in early June 2013. We did not have much time to get to know the place nor the owners (Jim and Christine ?) but loved the place and had some interesting conversation over breakfast. We felt very welcome. The room was very clean and confortable, with a view on the...

Spent two nights at Rowan Cottage and must say its an absolutely fantastic B+B. Christine and Jim were really friendly and superb hosts, really chatty and full of local knowledge and stories.
