Our hosts Christine & Jim gave us a great welcome in their very comfortable home. Lovely room, fab breakfast, gorgeous setting. We were only there for one night but it would have been lovely to stay longer!

My daughter and I really enjoyed the hospitality, the kindness & helpfulness, the food, the incredible view as well as the lovely company. I am so thankful for this very special experience and would recommend it to all travellers who love the Isle of Skye.

Christine and Jim were so kind to us after a long wet day of walking through Skye, they dried out clothes and provided a wonderful breakfast, they were super helpful and came and rescued us from the nearby town we had ended up in after rain forcing us to take another route. The b&b is wonderful and homely and in...

What a brilliant find and the perfect B&B. A really enjoyable stay from start to finish, beginning with Christine and Jim's warm welcome and all the way through to our reluctant departure. The food is home cooking as good as you'll find (the previous comments about the fish pie and venison casserole were spot on), with superb breakfasts as well,...

6 of us (2 couples, 1 daughter and granddad) had a 2 night stay, where we were welcomed and looked after. Great breakfast served up each morning. A wonderful location, in a remote corner of Skye. A traditional house with character, not a new-build.

From the very moment I booked, I had such a delightful experience. Christine emailed me straight away to welcome me and provide details of the location and amenities (as well as checking I knew that they were remotely situated). The drive out to Rowan Cottage was beautiful and the views from the cottage itself just breathtaking! My room was fantastic...

Many thanks for the wonderful review. You were very kind and complimentary about our cottage before you left and to back up with this review is "icing on the cake". Safe onward journeys!

A very special B&B in a special part of the Isle of Skye. The road from Broadford to Elgol and on to Glasnakille (where Rowan Cottage is located) is spectacular. The cottage is lovely and cosy; we were in an upstairs bedroom. Christine and Jim gave us a very warm welcome and looked after us extremely well, including drying out...

A friend and I recently spent several days on the Isle of Skye, staying 1 night at Rowan Cottage near Elgol. This was our 2nd visit to the Elgol area (having loved it the first time) and we wanted to stay overnight in the area. Choosing Rowan Cottage was the best decision of our trip. It was a rainy afternoon...

My mum and I stayed with Christine and Jim for two nights in September. The house is a little jewel. It is very remote, and when I say remote I say paradise. There is nothing around and the place is perfect for people who look for peace and quiet! It is possible to reach the b&b after 40 minutes drive...

Wonderful B&B, lovely owners, scrummy food (beg Christine to make her fishpie !), clean and comfortable - and - we were slightly concerned at time to get to Elgol from main route thru to Uig to catch ferry - but it really isn't too far, and ferry timings worked perfectly. Thank you Christine and Jim.
