Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a great stop half way between Coober Pedy and Pt Augusta. There's everything you need to restock your camper, refuel, eat, visit the clean toilets or just stop to rest. There are two petrol stations there and motel rooms and camping areas are available for over-nighters.

The suggestion of not drinking the water was well received. Spacious clean room and comfy bed in a large complex. Staff were friendly and helpful. Meals were truckie size and tasty and served in a building designed to look like a shearing shed.

We have stayed here before as it is a good overnight stop. Bit unusual in that the toilet block is being upgraded so we were asked to use the motel room bathrooms! I used the toilet but would not consider using the shower. It was terrible.

Our pre-booked group of 30 visited for a meal and overnight stay. The meals were good and solid but the accommodation can only be described as 'last resort'. As reported in reviews by other travellers over a period of time the rooms were lacking in any kind of reasonable standard. There were cobwebs, and dust on ledges, dirty shower, 'only if you must' toilets, internal and external lights not working and the compulsory smoke detector not working due to not having a battery. The air conditioner just outside the door was at a convenient height to walk into. Safety valves on the hot water systems were extensively corroded. We made a point of speaking with other travellers along the road. Their opinions for both the rooms and the toilet block for the caravan park were the same as ours. If you choose to stop for a meal then avoid the accommodation.

Found a site easily and decided to dine out. Checked the menu early in the day then my wife and myself walked to the cafe. On ordering our meal (fish and chips) we were told that the serve is quite large, so we accepted a smaller version. Still quite enough. On finishing our meal the manager, out of the blue, came around with their golf buggy and ferried us back to our van as it was getting dark and my wife was not well. Long walk ahead otherwise. Very much appreciated.

The worst place I've stayed $130 for a room with no TV $ 10 for a beer meal very average and games room closed because no one can run it. And staring at 4 walls and bar close at 8 o'clock. What a joke. Anyone coming past just keep going. Never coming here again.

Having travelled all over Australia Glendambo have served us the freshest vegies, salads and steaks. The service by all is very warm and welcoming, fresh clean rooms - our kids absolutely loved staying here and so did we. We will definitely be back for our stop overs from the NT to SA everytime. Thank you for an exceptional experience in the outback

Lovely friendly reception lady. She provides a power cord extension to charge our Tesla.
I am happy with the rooms, food and accommodation. If you have a 32 Amp Power Cable, you can charge your car in Caltex Service Station.
We have been before, and We would come back. Thank you to all the staff. Your staff is fantastic and friendly and very trustworthy. We lost our credit card and the whole bag. The lady kept everything safely and returned to us the following day.

Unfortunately the operators of this park are not up to date with Covid information for SA. Not all caravan parks in SA are closed. Not happy when phones not answered or return calls made, for two days prior to planned arrival to check availability. Essential travellers and returning SA travellers are allowed to travel from NT at least.
Not happy at all and to tell only van in park they cannot move south is poor.

We too rang to book - couldn't find an email. You could phone from OS on 08 8672 1030 - shouldn't be a problem at this time of year.
