We truly enjoyed our stay at the Surin. It is our first time to Thailand and in Phuket, the Surin was the best choice. The resort is tucked away on Surin base and it truly made you feel like you were in an isolated paradise. Accommodations are unique in the hillside cottages with views and plenty space, again feeling like you are in your own oasis. Facilities were top notch with pool and plenty of beachfront chairs. Breakfast buffet was expansive and made with excellent quality and preparation. We have the Loy Katong Buffet Dinner and it was exceptional Thai traditional food. The Concierge staff did a tremendous job in planning our stay there: from rips to the Koh Tapu, Muay Thai classes, and Blue Elephant for dinner, and travel accommodations to airport and excursions, they helped set everything up BEFORE we got there and it made the trip less stressful and eased our minds when we arrived. If you want a truly special, unique, and memorable stay in Phuket, I would hands down recommend the Surin. We will come again! I wanted to especially thank: Bee, Mujalim, Charida, Beau, and her team (I forget the woman who checked us in, and the Bell men who helped with our luggage), as they went well above and beyond to provide personalized, timely, and thoughtful service and care. Hotel's Favourite
Unfortunately some very sad developments at my beloved resort in Phuket. The cute calico cat Miboon is gone. She had been adopted by a staff member. Also the local beach vendors and massage ladies are gone. Why? Because the local government has decided to build an enormous B198 million glas terrace walkway and observation tower directly on the adjacent Surin Cliff at the southern edge of the hotel. So the hotel understandably build a protective wall to prevent all the future visitors of this crappy walkway boondoggle to flood beautiful Pansea Beach. OMG, the greedy powers will destroy this place, which was just fine all on its own merits. No they slashed and paved the vegetation so this crappy glas terrace walkway could provide views of beautiful Surin Beach and even more beautiful Pansea Beach. Hopefully this construction will run the same course as the former pavilions that became dilapidated from no maintenance. Sad days. Hope for the best, but fear the worst :(…

Everything in the hotel met our expectations. The rooms and facilities were clean and well maintained. Very good food in restaurants. Breakfast, somewhat limited choice of food, in any case very high quality and fresh. Nice beach, isolated from public access. Sometimes we found some trash on the sand and it looked like no one from the hotel cared. But it was only a few times. Be aware that most rooms are not handicap accessible. Almost everywhere you have to go through stairs and there are no elevators in the resort. Overall, excellent hotel, nice attentive staff, everything (nearly) perfect :)

The location of the hotel might be a little away from the town but in return we get peace and quiet secluded beach which we very much enjoyed. All the employees here are friendly and helpful. We stayed here for several nights at the tail end of our honeymoon—I wish had more days here! The private beach is beautiful and very relaxing. The cottages are gorgeous and the landscape and walkways between them make you feel like you’re in the jungle. The food was delicious at every restaurant but I highly recommend the beach restaurant—fabulous service and beachfront setting. Every aspect at this resort was perfection!

Not a great start, as soon we checked in the plugs in the room wasn’t working so had to call to get that fixed. The location of the hotel is great, quite a few restaurants, money exchange, shops around the corner. The rooms are pretty small compared to the hotels we have stayed at recently but that’s not the hotels faults. The other thing to take note on is that it has many and I mean many stairs no lifts so be aware of that especially if like me you have problems with your back then it becomes a battle. It’s on an uphill so makes it even worse. You can pay to upgrade but still stairs I believe. Breakfast was a lot better, they have buffet and you can also order off menu. This hotel has it all ! The staff is excellent food is good and the beach is probably the best in phuket. Me and my wife had a really top experience! If anything is little less perfect it is all upp and down on the walkways but you get the exercise! Thank you Surin Best Thomas and Maria

We recently got married at The Surin Hotel and it was a truly magical experience. Bat and her team were outstanding. Every detail from the flowers, music, set up, entertainment and food was arranged to prefection allowing us just to enjoy our day without any worry.
