SAii Laguna Phuket is a bright waterfront resort that reflects the tropical beauty of the famous Thai island. It has undergone an extensive renovation including the creation of a new events hall, a stunning seafront restaurant, and an enhanced beachfront bar to integrate SAii wellness and culinary brand signatures. An integral part of Laguna Phuket, the world-class integrated resort at Bangtao Bay, overlooking the Andaman Sea, the retreat is perfectly suited to light-hearted couples, families, groups of friends, and one-of-a-kind weddings and events.

We came as a family in age ranging from 25 to 91. Superb hotel for all ages. Excellent food, service and so much to do. Fantastic beach. Would thoroughly recommend for a quiet holiday or plenty of trips for the adventurous. Thank you Saii Laguna.

We needed a getaway from Bangkok for our anniversary, and my wife found some petty spectacular deals at this property.
We booked ourselves a 10 night stay and have been celebrating the decision ever since.
Before we even arrived the hotel reached out to us, checking on anything special we might need. Responses were quick, pertinent, and helpful.
We can't say enough about how kind, welcoming, and warm all of the staff were.
We stayed in a Club room, and recommend this highly. The value of this was a Big afternoon tea, and cocktails in the evening with a Chefs appetizer tray.
The staff in the lounge were wonderful, especially Khun Dream, Khun Mo, Khun Da, Khun Matt, and Khun June.
It was a genuine pleasure chatting with all of them and allowing them to spoil us.

Breakfast was served to us a la carte, no buffets, and had a good selection of high quality items. Khun Panwaddy and Khun Pinky made sure we were well taken care of.
Great pool, and water slide, and even a selection of fitness classes every day led by Khun Auk, which we availed ourselves of.
The only section of the hotel open was the beach wing, and we had a terrific room looking out in the lagoon. Very comfy bed, and terrific selection of amenities in the room.
We were also impressed that the hotel had no plastic bottles, only refillable glass ones.
Their safety and hygiene standards were impeccable, and rigorously followed by all staff.
As mentioned above, the reason for the trip was to celebrate our anniversary.
On the day, were were blown away at the effort made to decorate our room for us, and help us celebrate our day.
One minor thing, was this will have the dubious honour of being the first anniversary we ever celebrated without a cake.
Oh well, I guess I should have ordered one.
We recommend the Outrigger highly, and look forward to returning.

Thank you for spending your 10 night stay with us at Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort. We are delighted that your overall experience exceeded your expectations. The team and I have also been celebrating that we were able to assist in creating wonderful holiday memories for you both. Congratulations on your anniversary. It was disappointing to read that your anniversary was a little marred without a cake and for this I do offer our apologies. I will discuss with the team to ensure that future special occasions are arranged in accordance with our guests and their requests. On a positive note, I am delighted to read that our Outrigger hosts were the star of your review. Thank you for taking the time to recognise our Outrigger hosts, in particular, Khun Dream, Khun Mo, Khun Da, Khun Matt, Khun June, Khun Panwaddy, Khun Pinky and Khun Auk. Our fitness classes are a must and it was wonderful to read that you joined these on a daily basis. An active holiday is the best! I am very proud of our hosts who are the heart and soul of the resort spoiling all of our valued guests. Your recommendation is appreciated and we do hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again in the near future. Kindest Regards Leah Matters

We have just returned from a two week stay and although I normally never get round to writing reviews I felt compelled to do so. We have visited this hotel several times previously and we have always had a fabulous time. The hotel itself is situated perfectly on Bang Tao Beach and the views are absolutely stunning and the sunset is amazing. We stayed in a Ocean Front Terrace room which opens up onto the beach, the room was clean and had everything you needed, housekeeping were fab and checked every evening if we needed anything. We had access the club lounge, this is a fab lounge the staff or amazing nothing is any trouble to them they are always smiling. They do high tea from 3.30 with sandwiches and cakes and fruit. In the evenings from 6pm they do cocktails and taster menus they are so generous with everything. They even warn you its last orders in case you want one more, the lounge closes at 7.30. The pool area is fantastic for kids we have a 10 and 8 year old. There is a kids pool which is extra large and shallow. The main pool is huge with different areas it has a slide and you would think with only one slide the kids might get bored but they don't its enough, it's great fun and they let you all go down together they are not precious. The swimming pool bar is beautiful the staff were amazing to us. The pool restaurant area is again amazing the food is spot on they do a mixture of Thai dishes, great salads and big burgers, the club sandwich is pretty special!! The thing that really made our holiday extra special was the staff, They are friendly, happy, funny and efficient. They looked after our family everyday and for that reason I would like to thank Sun and Mhan and all the team at the pool bar who were perfect. I would like to say thank you to Laila who is a star and AK and Jayz and all the team who looked after us in the pool restaurant, the food and beverage team were brilliant. All in all I would recommend this hotel to families and couples. There are plenty areas that couples can sit in peace and enjoy the pool and beach. We had a great time and will return soon.

Thank you very much Lisa for your time in writing and sharing a detailed review of your recent vacation via this forum. The team and I are very appreciative of your continued loyalty and allowing us the opportunity to welcome you and your family time after time. We are certainly most fortunate of our beachfront location here in beautiful Laguna however the biggest draw card is our hosts who go above and beyond to deliver personalised and genuine hospitality to our guests. Thank you for highlighting our Voyager 47 Club team, Edgewater Bar and restaurant team including Khun Sun, Khun Mhan, Khun Laila, Khun Ake and Khun Jay-Z. It gives me great pleasure to share your glowing feedback with them all. They honestly are superstars! Thank you also for your comments regarding the meals you enjoyed which I will share with Chef Roberto and his team. We very much look forward in welcoming you once again to Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort. Until then Sawasdee. Kindest Regards Leah Matters

First impression of the hotel was ‘old, tired, not 5 star’ as they say never judge a book by its cover!

It took a couple of days to settle in and appreciate the hotel for what it is. The only hotel on the Laguna complex with true beach access. The rooms are clean, a little outdated, good Wi-Fi, TV a bit hit and miss.
Breakfast is good, with the obligatory egg station, Asian offering and an abundance of pastries. The kitchen and it’s staff are run efficiently by Exec Chef Roberto Conrad who will always find time to speak to you and accommodate any culinary challenges you might have.

The hotel (hope I’m correct) has three restaurants, the beach bar is good for pizza etc and for poolside lunch, its good for informal dinner.

The hotel location makes it walkable to the near-by Boat Ave (20min) location of a small cluster of restaurants and a Waitrose style supermarket. It’s a village not a town, hard to find a bar and none of the bright light big city experiences you will find at a lot beach side resorts.

Behind the hotels poolside bar you will find an alleyway of half a dozen shops in a cluster of old shacks. At its end you find half dozen on beach restaurants, bar and a massage tent. All look a bit rough but food reasonably priced (dinner for two with a couple of drinks £25).

Overview;
It’s a bit like Russia by the sea, Bang Thao beach is long enough 7k to loose yourself.
The Laguna complex is accessible by courtesy bus, it’s central hub is Canal Village, other than Thursday nights street market, it’s nothing special. The let down for me is the surrounding beach side restaurants they are nothing more than shacks, something a little smarter would complement the resort.

I did extend my stay by 3 days and will return, so give the Outrigger a go and you won’t be disappointed.

We are pleased that you eventually fell in love with the resort which was worthy of 5 stars. The team and I are delighted to read that you enjoyed our beach side location, fronting onto beautiful Bangtao Beach which allows one to go for a leisurely stroll whilst watching the most stunning sunsets. Thank you for highlighting the personalised service of our Executive Chef Roberto who you will often find at Locavore cooking eggs for our guests. Thank you for the kind recommendation and we are very much looking forward to welcoming you once again in the near future. Kindest Regards Leah Matters

If you're travelling with kids, this place is great. In the ocean view rooms the kids can sleep on the large daybed, smaller kids will love the kiddie pool and kids of all ages can enjoy the water slide. We were a bit disappointed by the kids' club which seemed worn out and tired. The Thai are great with kids and our little one really bonded with Mo in the Voyager lounge. Every single member of the staff that we interacted with were kind and many of them even remembered our names.

The beach is absolutely amazing and perhaps the best I have ever visited. Outrigger is one of the few hotels here with true direct beach access. The beach gets crowded though so no authentic Thailand experience here. The food at the beach restaurants are also fairly expensive compared to other places and often it will cost you the same as eating in the hotel.

We went for the half board option and were pleasantly surprised that you decide if you want to spend it on lunch of dinner on a daily basis. Great flexibility.

The hotel offers massage in-house, for more spa-like treatments they will arrange for transportation outside the hotel.

The hotel is popular amongst the Russians and Germans especially.

If I was travelling as a couple without kids, I would go for a smaller hotel but the beach and short distance to the airport really are a plus.

The team and I thank you for choosing to spend your family holiday with us at Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort. We are absolutely delighted to read that you had a memorable and enjoyable time. Your feedback regarding our Koh Kids club is welcomed and appreciated. It gives me great delight to advise that in the past month we have undertaken a complete refresh of our kids club with a new look and theme. It is fantastic working with individuals who are so committed to their roles in delivering distinctive and genuine hospitality to our valued guests. I am pleased that you and your family were able to personally experience this. Thank you for highlighting Khun Mo in Voyager 47 Club. I can't wait to share your positive feedback directly with her. Thank you for highlighting our beachfront location, hosts and our half board package which allows guests the flexibility of dining for lunch or dinner at any one of our three restaurants. We do hope to have the pleasure to welcome you and your family once again in the near future. Kindest Regards Leah Matters

Our family stayed in two deluxe ocean facing rooms for 2 nights after reading so many positive reviews. Yes as reviewers highlighted this was a great resort with scenic views, outstanding service by staff and sumptuous food. As we had access to Club Room facilities, this made our stay comfortable as refreshments were served all day plus afternoon tea and evening cocktails. The friendly and proactive service provided by all staff in the resort is commendable. Special mention goes to Mickey the Club Host who took "extra care" of all guests in the Club Room. Breakfast buffet ( ala carte ) was delicious with a choice of Western and Thai Food. As we stayed for 2 nights we were provided with a free Seafood set dinner. The menu came with mini lobsters, big prawns and fish with a glass of sparkling wine. Prices of food and beverages are high as expected in a 5 star resort. The saving grace was the resort operates a mini shop (Melon?) which offers supermarket prices for drinks including alcohol. The big minus of our stay was that there are no lifts/elevators in the resort. We understand as this was structurally not possible to construct, thus becomes a challenge for the elderly requiring assistance and wheelchair. To get from the lobby level to the Club room, one has to climb down 4 flight of steps ( each flight comprising 8 steps ). The resort does provide wheelchairs to guests but access to some parts of the resort especially moving in between floors remains cumbersome.

The lift was out of commission, I saw no attempts to repair it during our stay so I’m assuming it was a cost saving exercise.

The water in WC was dirty for the first few flushes, likewise the wash basin, perhaps the room was unused for some considerable time. The bed had the cheapest of the cheap commercial white strip bed linen, the same as my friend buys for his AirBnB. The thermostat in the room always chilled the room to 19C regardless whether it was set to fan only, or chill, unless you overrode the fan option selecting fan speed to Auto whereupon the fan would switch on and off noisily. We only discovered this 24 hours prior to departure. The TV would not receive the BBC News channel, possibly due to government censorship, it just received static on that channel. The brightness on the TV was insufficient, the settings button on the remote was disabled. The room cleaning etc was fine and the room and bed were comfortable.

2 out of 3 restaurants were closed for our entire stay. Both the bars were closed however the one restaurant open was serving alcoholic drinks. The Voyager Club Room was closed for our a la carte breakfast with free flow bloody Mary’s, so we had to use the only open restaurant (we had paid extra for the club option). The Pizza Diavola was unavailable one day, presumably no spicy salami in the kitchen, my guest ordered a Pizza Frutti di Mare instead. The pizza crust was so hard it flew off your plate when you tried to cut it. All the other lunches and dinners were excellent and worthy of a 5* hotel. The breakfast was 3* only, perhaps the Voyager club room breakfast would have been better that we had paid for but unavailable. Early evenings the Voyager club room was open, the canapés were excellent although only one plate was permitted, my guest felt like “Oliver” when asking if there was any more please and was told “No”. The free flow cocktails in the club room available were all “long” drinks, I would have preferred a smaller cocktail so I switched to white wine. The wine was Bandicoot Estate scoring under 3 on Vivino and whilst drinkable could and should have been better.

All told, I would rate this hotel 3.5 star only, it’s clear in the current crisis they are cutting corners and not worth anywhere near the almost 7,000 baht ($210) per night we paid.

Just had lunch at Edgewater. Food is only ok. Bucket of prawns were obviously not too fresh as they were more soft than the slight ‘bite’ or crunch you get from a freshly cooked Prawn. Rose at 400THB a glass was again only ok but local beers are reasonable for a resort at 140 each. Chicken satays were likely somewhat pre-made so overall a bare pass on food. Service was fine. A ‘family’ resort with ok food for those inclined.

Have just returned from 10 days at Outrigger Laguna Phuket. We were a group of 4 adults aged 50 and we had a fantastic time. We booked a package through Luxury Escapes that was all inclusive three meals a day plus a daily cocktail. We tried about everything on the menu and couldn't fault any of the meals. Some nights there were special buffets such as Thai Street Food, seafood, Thai buffet these were also excellent.
The staff were great always willing to help and super friendly. Specail shout out to Tan AK and Leila.
We had a lagoon view room which was very comfortable and clean. There was a cute little deck which was perfect for a morning cuppa or afternoon G and T
The beach was a highlight clean water and sand. But if the beach is not your thing the pools were also great.
All in all we could not fault our time at Outrigger Laguna and would recommend it a great place to relax and undwind.

Thank you for choosing to spend your 10 day holiday with your friends here with us at Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort. The team and I are honoured to have hosted your fun packed holiday! Each evening we host a theme night at one of our three restaurants with the most popular events at our beachfront restaurant Edgewater. It was wonderful to read that you enjoyed your dining experiences at Edgewater, Metzos and Locavore Restaurants. Thank you kindly for highlighting our superstars including Khun Tan, Khun Ake and Khun Leila. It gives me great pleasure to share your positive review with these individuals. We are most fortunate to be situated beachfront with one of the longest stretches of beach in Phuket. A wonderful place for a stroll and or to simply watch some of the prettiest sunsets on the island. Thank you for the recommendation and we hope to welcome you all again for another relaxing holiday! How is this resort rated 5 stars? The room is dark and dingey and in desperate need of an upgrade. I can understand if this hotel was a 3 star hotel and had 3 star prices but it feels like we went back in time to Phuket 30 years ago. We had tears in our sheets, the room smelt of damp, service is slow and the staff don’t seem to know much about the resort. We asked to have a couple of plates and cutlery to use in our room and the hotel said that we would be charged! There is no concierge to help with activities around Phuket, the pool is supposed to open at 8am but it was still being cleaned and maintenance going on at 9:45am. The club lounge is not worth it - the afternoon snacks available is just sad. I could go on and on but this hotel does not have the facilities or amenities that you would expect from a 5 star hotel. If you want value for money or just get what you would expect from paying 5 star prices, I suggest that you go somewhere else.
