Disappointed with this resort. Staff definitely tried their best but we were provided with a terrible room on arrival overlooking a restaurant and air conditioning unit , not the premier sea front view we expected and booked a year in advance. The hotel moved us on the third day. Beach is glorious but ruined with noisy smelly jet skis next door to the hotel beach on either side, pop music and hoards of loud, rude Russians who made us feel quite uncomfortable. To top it all the beautiful sea is full of jelly fish half of the time and even when absent there are thousands of jelly fish larvae which you can’t see and brought me out in red rash. I love swimming but was put off entering the sea. There’s no quiet spot anywhere in the extensive grounds; children and pop music dominate the beach area and hawkers on the public beach also have music and noise and even people off the beach not staying in the hotel were permitted to use sun loungers , sometimes for what appeared to be a small fee! There were no adult only areas so while this may be great for families we do NOT recommend for more mature adults. The room itself was ok but nothing special and our first balcony was unusable as it was filled with pigeons and bird poo . Food and service was good as you’d expect in Thailand, it’s a shame management seemed to have somewhat abandoned catering for its loyal existing and returning older clients, many of whom have been visiting for many years and who now expressed concerns ; it’s not what we’d describe as a five star resort. Some Guests had brought and used their own boom box stereos which they played around pool and beach with absolutely no consideration for others and this was permitted by the hotel. I had some lovely experiences and we didn’t have a bad stay, but we have been to Phuket before and sadly we won’t be returning and certainly not to the Dusit Thani . Like many other places in the far east it has been ruined by mass tourism, and pollution, which may sound elitist but a true fact, there is just too many of us everywhere.

We expected more from this hotel having stayed in two others the previous 2 weeks and paying a lot more to stay here, firstly they said I had cancelled my booking, they eventually sorted this out, room was OK, breakfast was chaos, no organisation, tables not being cleaned and cleared for other guests, people having to get there own cups, bowls not enough staff doing there job, food could be improved. Only for the girls who work in the Lobby bar, this place would be empty every night, they do a fantastic job. The pool was good but needed to be cleaned more often because of sand and leaves, did not go into the jacuzzi as it was filthy scum marks all the way round it. There was never enough pool towels for everyone, everyday they ran out. The hotel could do so much more with the space they have, improve the beach bar for one, nobody was at it, people were buying their drinks from the stalls on the beach for a fraction of the price. Most people go out to eat, ask the concierge they will arrange pick up to and from the the restaurants around Laguna area. Overall this hotel is average at best and I would not stay here again, there are so many better hotels around this area.

Dear Gary K, Thank you for sharing your recent experience with us, and please accept our sincere apologies for the shortcomings you encountered during your stay. We deeply regret that we fell short of meeting your expectations and appreciate your honest feedback, as it helps us to identify areas for improvement. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience you encountered with your booking and the disorganization experienced during breakfast service. Your comments regarding the cleanliness of the pool and jacuzzi, as well as the availability of pool towels, are concerning, and we will address these issues with our team to ensure they are rectified promptly. We are delighted to hear that you found the service provided by the girls at the Lobby bar to be fantastic, and we will make sure to commend them for their efforts. However, we acknowledge that there are areas where we can do better, such as improving the beach bar and ensuring sufficient staffing levels throughout the hotel. Your feedback regarding arranging transportation to local restaurants is appreciated, and we will ensure that our concierge team is well-equipped to assist guests with dining recommendations and transportation options. Once again, we apologize for falling short of your expectations and appreciate the opportunity to improve. We hope to have the chance to welcome you back in the future and provide you with the exceptional experience that you deserve. Warmest regards, Waraporn Angsupasirikul Manager - Total Quality Management

Fantastic beach resort! This was our first stay and this resort, and we hope to return again someday! Pro Tip: There is a 7-Eleven right outside hotel entrance. Use this to buy snacks, drinks, and alcohol to take to the beach chairs and enjoy your day! Much cheaper option than using hotel service and they don't mind if you bring it in. 7-Eleven doesn't sell beer until 11 am though--heads up. There is a strong Muslim presence in this town, so I'm assuming it's due to that. Also--use the laundry service right next to the 7-Eleven. They were very cheap and quick turnaround for laundry service. Highly recommend! There's a great smoothie cart right outside 7-Eleven as well that is fabulous! Pros: Private Beach Very quiet area with little boat traffic Great gym, fabulous breakfast buffet, and great happy hour Large, clean rooms Large beach with rental options for sports activities Great local restaurants just outside of hotel entrance Lovely quiet beach and resort--it's absolutely gorgeous at night as well Great infinity pool and swim-up bar. Second pool seems more child-friendly Get to the pool early--they need more chairs and cabanas because they fill up quickly. However, we chose beach chairs the whole time we were here. Full service at the beach for drinks and food. Get a massage at The Breeze massage area. This is right on the beach. It's not operated by the hotel, but it's amazing! Book upon arrival as slots fill up quickly. You won't regret it! Cons Pricey drinks and food for a Thai resort. I supposed it could be expected. We only ate breakfast and lunch here. We would order pizza or fries to enjoy in our beach chairs. We ate outside of the hotel every night. There are many great restaurants that you can walk to right outside of hotel entrance. Or, choose to take a taxi (Grab doesn't operate in this area due to taxi mafia--not kidding) for just a 15-minute ride into town. Use the taxi service just outside of hotel. They are very friendly and nice. It's a touristy area but lots of fun, shopping, and restaurants to enjoy.

Just had a fabulous dinner at Benjarong (Dusit Thani) and it was perfect. We used to visit Ruen Thai frequently but now the name has changed but the food is just as good if not better! Thanks to Jammoree for exceptional service and all the staff. Also our pre dinner drink at the bar was wonderful and superb service from Orawan. The setting is amazing, the food delicious, don’t miss out if you are in Phuket some of the best Thai food we’ve experienced this week ❤️

We stayed in a lagoon view villa for one week. It is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The staff were exceptional throughout, the food was faultless and the facilities meant there was always something to do. The pool and beach areas had plenty of sun beds but if you wanted one right next to the pool it was a case of being up before breakfast to put a towel down. Again, the staff were always on hand to assist if you could not find one where you were looking. Some people put a towel down, use the sunbed but them simply walk away without handing to the towel in to the laundry basket. This occasionally made it look as if all the beds were taken but the staff monitored this and tried to keep as many sun loungers free as possible. The pool and beach bars were very convenient but never too crowded. There were plenty of shaded tables near the pool bar. The villas are amazing as you get two en-suite bedrooms, a kitchen and lounge and then a third floor rooftop pool with sun beds. This meant we could sun bathe and dip in and out of the pool without having to get changed or pack a bag. If you stay in a villa (or Club Room I think) you have access to two options for breakfast - the Laguna Cafe and La Trattoria. Both are big and can serve a lot of people. The selection of food was incredible and the staff were always available to assist with any particular dietary requirements. La Trattoria had a slightly wider range of food (cheeses, cold meats, pastries) and because it was closer to the beach there tended to be a breeze blowing through whereas the Laguna Cafe could be a little warm outside because of the trees and buildings. Another bonus which came with the villa stay was that afternoon tea was served 1500 - 1600 in La Trattoria. This was excellent and after a big breakfast, eating a sandwich and some small cakes was perfect timing before going out in the early evening. There was a small supermarket 3 mins walk from the hotel entrance which was useful for getting extra bits for the kids. The area is known as Canal Village and it had a few restaurants/cafes and a handful of shops. There was a good market on Saturday evening. The walk to Boat Avenue took around 20 mins but it is worth waiting until late afternoon to walk as it gets very hot. The free shuttle bus was excellent but we never really understood the timings as there were several buses running throughout the day even though the official timings were 1300/1500/1700/1900 and 2100. It was only 200 BHT to go one way from the Tops supermarket area (Porto De Phuket) back to the hotel. Beware of the traffic though, the junctions around Lagoon Road get very busy and you can sometimes walk it quicker than driving! Overall, an outstanding hotel, we will definitely return to make more great memories.

Booked a Club Room to have the beach right at our doorstep, and the room did not disappoint. The hotel is not new, but they seemed to have made every attempt to keep up the maintenance. Service has been good, the breakfasts are a good spread. What is an unusual phenomena to me was the the humidity is so high, condensation forms on the wall very quickly, which may lead to slippery floors. We tried to not open the doors to the patio as much as possible. Otherwise, views are beautiful, complimentary drinks very welcome and periodic rides to Boat Avenue where all the food, night market and action is.

Lovely hotel, extremely wonderful staff who great you every time they see you. Very clean and the food is nice too. Rooms were spacious and beautiful. Special thanks to Rapeeporn who worked so hard and looked after us so so well by the pool bar. Only complaint was the xmas eve gala dinner, we booked for the four of us but our children did not attend, we still got charged for 4 people and it wasn't cheap but hey ho it was our fault, we just thought it would have been nice to not have to pay. Also the entertainment on the night wasn't for us, personally didn't want to listen to the local children sing and then the thank you's to the staff went on for ages, would have preferred to dance but we left after being bored to tears!
