The Iberostar Waves Alcudia Park boasts comfortable and pristine rooms, though some guests note they can be small and noisy. Its beachfront location is a hit for stunning views and easy beach access, but don't expect a bustling nightlife. While the array of amenities, including entertainment and pools, is a highlight, overcrowding and early closures have been mentioned. Despite cleanliness receiving high marks, the value is questioned due to extra charges and some dissatisfaction with accommodations. Service is generally lauded for its attentiveness, especially to families. The vibrant evening atmosphere is a plus for some, yet may be too much for guests with young children.

First holiday abroad since lockdown. The Alcudia Park Hotel is really nice. We had bed, breakfast and evening meal. The food was amazing every time. Fresh salads, cold meats, cheeses. Freshly cooked pizzas, pasta dishes, paella, steaks, chicken, prawns, everything you could think of. Breakfasts were lovely too. Fresh omelette station, fried eggs, pastries, fruit etc. The hotel does seem to cater more for families with young children and I would love to take my grandsons one day. The kids foam party looked fun. The pool area is kept lovely and clean and Sunbeds were plentiful. Hotel is right on the beach.
We got the bus (bus stop was almost outside hotel) to Peurto de Alcudia, 3 euros each / each way but you can book tickets online for 1 euro 80 each (TIB website) where there are more restaurants etc. The opposite direction goes to C’an Picafort.
We paid extra for ‘star prestige’ which meant we had a better room and we could access a room with snacks, cakes soft drinks, beer, fizz, wine, spirits from 10.30-5.00 pm ! We could also access the roof top bar which had (hot)/cold tubs, sun loungers etc. the views were amazing, very relaxing up there especially with a glass or two of Aperol Spritz.
The only issue I had was the air conditioning, it was far too hot for me during the night. I raised this and I was informed that the system is on a sensor, which isn’t good for a woman in her 50’s.

We stayed in a family deluxe room for 7 nights at this very family friendly resort and found it hard to fault anything to be honest (which is pretty rare for me!) Service, hospitality and cleanliness were top drawer and the staff cannot do enough for you, from the Reception staff, poolside helpers, waiters and waitresses and house keepers. A friendly maintenance man even appeared promptly to replace a shower light that had failed during our stay.

If you’re looking for somewhere quiet and without many children, this certainly is not the place, especially during the summer hols.

We booked half board and can only say that the quality and range of food at breakfast and dinner was almost overwhelming. If you choose not to book on an all inclusive basis then the price of drinks at the hotel isn’t that expensive so it might be worth considering half board if you’re not heavy drinkers. The pools are very clean and there is a good range of depths and slides for younger guests, which is reassuring when they’re maybe not the best of swimmers. Our 9 and 7 year old girls tended to stay in a couple of sections and that suited them fine. There are deeper areas (I’m 6.1 ft and was on tip toes in the main pool area) so there is something for everyone. Water slides are a fantastic addition to the hotel and they kept the kids busy for hours. We also never found it difficult to find sun beds around the pool, assuming you make an appearance before 9:30-10:00am. The hotel simply doesn’t allow the early reservations of sun beds by putting towels down in the middle of the night or at day break and we found this very refreshing.

Our kids took full advantage of the hotel’s Star Camp facility on the couple of cloudier days and the entertainment team took good care of them. Where they find their energy I have no idea! There are games and adventures to be enjoyed by the kids and they often put on great shows in the evening.

The only thing we would raise as an issue is the stone tiles around the pool area can be extremely slippery when wet and we saw a number of toddlers and children slip over when moving too fast. The hotel do put “Caution Wet Floor” signs out, but they could do with having flooring with more grip in our opinion.

Special mention to Maxime who is extremely welcoming and professional. We were communicating with her via email a couple of weeks before we travelled in order to arrange a special Birthday dinner for our youngest daughter who was turning 7 during our stay. She pulled out all the stops, decorating the table, arranging a special cake and opening champagne for us to enjoy the occasion that evening. She is very personable and we would encourage anyone to seek her out if they have any questions, need any help or have any special requests during their stay. Overall, a great trip and we’d definitely recommend.

We spent a week in this hotel with my family from September 3. until September 11, 2023 The hotel made a good impression on us from the very beginning. Polite service at the reception (including a very nice lady from Poland), quick check-in and full information. We chose the hotel because of its location (near a beautiful beach with turquoise water, when there are not too big waves) and animations for children. We were not disappointed - our two-year-old daughter had plenty to do: slides in the pool, mini disco (in a slightly different form, because the animators dance on stage, not children, and here's a slight minus), animations such as pony riding or face painting, and a number of other attractions. It is worth downloading the free Ibeostar application, where you will find a detailed animation plan. The beach is beautiful - as everywhere in Spain, sunbeds are paid - here it is 14.5 euros for two sunbeds and an umbrella. You can rent bicycles and electric scooters at the hotel. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel and you can get to the port of Alcudi or the old town in 15 minutes (bus 342) for 3 euros per adult. It is best to purchase the ticket in cash from the driver. On the beach next to it (about 200 m) there is a pier where you can buy tickets for boat trips (the ships depart from here) - we recommend a trip to Formentor.
Someone who has not purchased all inclusive can use all bars, snacks and other things by providing the room number and paying everything when leaving (e.g. a burger with fries is 8 euros, coffee 2.5 euros, fries 6 euros, a drink about 8 euros, wine for dinner, because it is also only included in the all inclusive package, it costs 7 euros). We will definitely come back to this place :)

The hotel is divided in two sections, one building with a rooftop, 4 buildings for the rest. The four buildings all consist of family rooms which were standard double bed-rooms. They built in a thin wall to make a bed-room and in the remaining part there is a sofa bed. They show several room types like suites, but in fact is all the same, just with different view. On the website they don´t make clear that they cater for families with kids up to 8 years - only.
Wanted to get two adjacent rooms for the kids (10 and 14) and us. Through the booking it was not possible, just got an email I shall check in the hotel. In the hotel they say I shall check with the booking. My partner speaks perfectly Spanish, nevertheless they cannot understand our wish to have real beds for all four people. All they could offer is the change of the family room to a double room in the rooftop building for EUR 60 additional per day and the kids sleep on the floor.
Privacy: 0. There is no lock on any door in the hotel. If you forget to put the sign out with no disturb, the cleaners just walk in no matter what you say.
There are nowhere near enough loungers at the pool and it is tight, I mean really tight.
The beach is fantastic, there are a lot of people in summer, nevertheless, it is marvelous.

We are on day 5 of our 7 day holiday. The reception staff upon arrival were excellent. The location of the hotel on one of the most beautiful beaches we’ve ever visited is probably the biggest selling point of this hotel for us. Very happy with the family room having a separate area for the children to sleep, this gave us a bit more space for the buggy’s etc. definitely worth booking the bigger family room. The choice of food, presentation and cleanliness in the dining area is of premium level as far as Spanish all inclusive goes. I have noticed how putting out smaller portions of each dish keeps this high standard where as some resorts only replenish every so often. The welcome from the front of house staff at meal times is a lovely touch. The entertainment staff do a great job, they are enthusiastic and work hard. When children attend the club they maintain security whilst putting your mind at ease with safety. The bibs for children are a great idea. My little boy enjoys the disco but misses the familiar holiday disco songs as they don’t seem to be tailored towards English. Room/house keeping…The first couple of days the work within the room was excellent with some nice little touches ( a rose or chocolates) although those touches are not required for us we have noticed the level of cleaning has deteriorated slightly on day 3 and 4 (dirty glasses and dirty towels not replaced).
Unfortunately there is one disappointing factor for us and that is the lack of sun beds to accommodate the number of people staying in the hotel. Out of our 5 days here so far we have only managed to get beds on two days and that was because we set an alarm and were out for 8.30am! This is a real shame for such a great hotel as we have stayed in other bigger hotels where we could turn up at any time in the day and we would guarantee sunbeds. The other days we have had to go to the beach as there isn’t anywhere to even sit if you haven’t got a bed which isn’t ideal with young babies and children.
The standard of food and the hotel beach front location put this hotel up there with some minor points for improvement

Today we are leaving this excellent hotel after seven days of vacation. Everything was up to expectations, excellent reception, excellent room and excellent service. All the staff treated us very well, they are extremely friendly, pleasant and helpful. The room maid always asked if we needed anything and left everything spotless. The pool and access to the sea are spectacular, the beach is very nice and clean, warm water and practically no waves. We are members of the club and they gave us an excellent stay, we definitely recommend it and we will return. The Prestige service is also excellent and the breakfast , lunch and dinner and bars is a luxury, great variety!!!

Very family hotel with many young children.
Very pleasant and dedicated staff.
They don't speak much French but try to get by.
The staff is always in a good mood despite the incivility of people. Well done to them!

We were disappointed with the room because with two children aged 12 and 15, the sofa bed is too small.
The comfort of the bedding is very average.
The soundproofing sucks!!
We hear people as if they were in our room.
However, we were in a quiet area.
The air conditioning only works in one room out of two.
The bathroom only has two hooks (one of which is rickety) for 4 people.
The safe (paid) was blocked and was not repaired.
The room is not refreshed every day and we did not have the right number of towels.

As for the restaurant, it's a shame that there is no regularization of the flow of people.
People are swarming everywhere and the restaurant is overcrowded.
People have no education!
Children are not supervised. They help themselves in any way, lick the common cutlery from the dishes; serve themselves as if they hadn’t eaten for days.
Nobody reacts.
It would be nice if there was more surveillance at the buffets to respect everyone. And even for hygiene.
Require children who are too young to be accompanied.
In terms of food, the buffet is varied but repetitive.
Foods, such as raw vegetables, which should be fresh are not.

For activities, top entertainment team.
They are smiling, motivated,…

The beach is beautiful!
The water is turquoise and you can go far with your feet.
FYI, you can take your towels from the hotel (deposit of €20 per towel) to the beach.
There is a paid deckchair service (€14.50 for two deckchairs and a parasol/day)

Swimming pool: colder water than at sea.
Never any room on the deckchairs!
No control of people who leave their towels for the day and who are not there.

In conclusion, we had a very good stay thanks to the beach and the entertainment.
For a stay costing more than €2,000 per person for a week, we are very disappointed for the hotel chain.
The value for money is very bad!!
At this price, we expect superior service!

The hotel is ideal for young families. There's 5 swimming pools of various sizes. Including an indoor pool. Plus an indoor activities room with small climbing wall and area to do arts and crafts, play games etc.

The lobby is immaculate and nicely decorated and there's also a fantastic sports bar with screens and games for older children/adults.

The restaurant offers a wide variety of food - some that are freshly prepared as you wait. Drinks aren't included in certain board levels so there is an additional charge for these. The quality of the food is good.
The staff at the hotel are friendly and welcoming in general. Especially at the beach bar - Juan and the team are fantastic!!

There's a rooftop only area for star prestige guests and the view is outstanding. This is an adult only area which unless you're prepared to leave your children in the kids club or friends/family with you, then it may be tricky to utilise as a couple.

The gym is basic but adequate with enough to create a workout with. The indoor pool isn't big enough for the number of guests at the hotel
and needs to be redesigned as it lets the hotel down.

The park is small and could do with some more equipment but it has a gelato shop next door which is nice.

One of the stand out features about the hotel is it's directly on the beach. No cabs or buses you can step onto it in minutes.

Spent 10 nights at this hotel end of July with family. Toddler almost 3.

check in - not great, no help with a lot of bags and a toddler from taxi to reception, offered an upgrade but with a 900 euro price tag, had to ask for help with bags to the room. 20euro deposit per beach towel, this was not a holding charge, they actually take the money from your account! They also charge you 3 euros a day for a safe in the room 🙄

Room walls were covered in dead mosquitos, air con wasn’t working as cleaner left balcony door open.

Next morning covered in mosquito bites. My daughters face was covered. Horrible experience for her.

At breakfast just as we had sat down we were given a survey to do on our stay, we had been at the hotel for approx 17 hours! What do they expect us to say? So I gave them an honest first impression opinion, obviously this was not good reading so I was called down to reception for a meeting with the assistant manager. Barbara and Raphael were superb in listening to the issues we had and they offered us access to the star prestige area for the last 2 days of our holiday. We also had a bottle of red wine delivered to our room from the general manager.

Next day returned from a day by the pool to discover the cleaner again had left the balcony door open! Was she doing this on purpose?? So no air con on our return from a very hot day by the pool and another uncomfortable night with constant buzzing and bites! This happened on 3 other occasions.

By the pool is chaos! There is only one life guard on duty who is situated in totally the wrong area, their backs to the toddler pool (which has unguarded steps to the big pool) and too far away from the kids slides area to keep any sort of discipline.

The breakfast was excellent, great selection. Although cereal was stale on many occasions but we just avoided it. There was plenty else to choose from.

Lunch and dinner went hand in hand, very similar so on an all inclusive holiday for 10 nights we ate out on 6 nights. We just couldn’t stand seeing the same food again and again. So as we were going out for dinner, lunch was then more bearable and actually really nice.

The beach was absolutely stunning. It’s worth getting up for the sunrise, perfect view from the hotel. You can walk out for a good 30 metres in crystal clear water and soft sand. Star fish and plenty of fish can be found.

All in all, this is a good hotel with so much potential. The kids entertainment is great and the staff are wonderful but I doubt we will be returning, which is a shame. If you are looking to stay here I would pay for star prestige and a junior suite as the superior family room is small even for a family of 3.

Again special mention to Raphael, Barbara and also Christian (pool guy) who stood out for us on our holiday and made it a lot better.

We have just returned from a week here as a family of 4 and had an amazing time and will be planning to go again.
The reasons for only giving 3.5 stars and not more are because when we arrived at check in we were told how we only have a basic family room which comes with no balcony so were offered an upgrade at extra cost to a room with balcony. Which we did do but to us was an added extra we were not expecting to pay, I have never been to a hotel where some rooms don’t have their own balcony. I feel this should have been made more clear when booking the holiday. The rooms are very nice and clean and cleaned daily with some nice touches (chocolates/flowers) but these seemed to stop towards the end of the week.
The pool is very busy and you have to get out early to secure any sun beds which isn’t something I wanted to have to do on holiday. The life guards do go around taking towels off if they had been left while people go to breakfast but there were lots that were missed and I only saw this happening in the morning. The pool is quite small for the size of the hotel I’m assuming they are expecting lots of people to go to the beach instead.
The food is very good and lots of choice with a different theme each night. We were asked at check in what times we would like to eat but were told this is just to help the kitchen gauge how many people will be eating at what times, we didn’t stick to the times we gave and wasn’t a problem.
There are a lot of mosquitoes which isn’t the hotels fault at all so just take lots of precautions for this.
The staff and entertainment team were all great and a real credit to the hotel.
