Visited here as part of a short break in the area having seen a leaflet and read a few reviews about the place. We had been to Rosemore garden earlier in the day and slightly rushed to fit this place in too. It is ok but I wouldn't rush back! I think we were some of the only people to...

To be fair this is a place not pretending to be a 5-star hotel or a 3-star restaurant but it needs some attention to live up to its web-site. We kept finding that the detail was lacking: stuff from previous guests left in the room, the bathroom was too small, everything didn't really feel clean, staff were not that attentive...

We only stayed for one night but this was a great hotel and we would like to have stayed longer. The hotel has wonderful art everywhere you look which creates a fantastic atmosphere. The staff are really helpful as well. We would thoroughly recommend it.

Visited with friends, tables were nicely spaced and the dining room we were in was decorated interestingly. Had 3 courses for about £17 each which was brilliant value alone, but also presented with a lovely fresh bread basket and a little amuse bouche. Food was good but perhaps a bit more description on the menu would be helpful as what...

If you are looking for something different this is it. You can wander round the gardens looking at all the sculptures which may or may not be to your taste but well worth a visit. Choose a nice day as it could be a bit muddy. We had coffee and home made cakes in the morning which was delicious and...

We have visited the sculpture garden previously but wanted to go back as the exhibits do change (well some of them do). Staying at the hotel means you can park at the top (no steep walk) and visit the gardens for no additional charge. Very nice room (4) with decent sized comfortable bed, plenty of storage space and a separate...

Organised a baby shower for a friend here and there was about 20 of us and some children. Staff were really helpful and friendly. We had a buffet style high tea and the food was lovely - not a cucumber sandwich in site thank goodness! They also let us have a side room which was really helpful. Was ideal for...

A beautiful restaurant, very quirky with a lovely welcome. Interesting menu.. tapas starter was sensational, beef fillet was a little tough bur the ox cheek was very tender and dessert was gorgous !! Drinks service was slow and we were forgotten after ordering another glass. The atmosphere was peaceful but could have dine with some gentle music for a romantic...

I booked this for one night stay to celebrate my husband's birthday. We arrived in time for a delicious Tapas lunch, booked into a lovely light spacious room ( no 8) then enjoyed the garden walk. Fantastic art, we loved the viriety of sculptures arranged on the terraces with paths winding through woodland down to the river. Many magnificent pieces...

I have a little problem, well a big problem actually, it seems that restaurants in this part of the world think that good food is ONLY nouvelle cuisine, good food is only that food that has been fashioned to within an inch of it’s life, well there are times when that is true, usually only in some of the very...
