Fantastic location on the Shannon. We ate in a posh dining room through the back which lacked atmosphere but it wasn't very busy which may have been why it lacked atmosphere. The bar/pub area looked a lot livelier. The food was pricey and to be honest we've had better in most pubs in Ireland. Not great value.

This establishment is well known in the Midlands as a place for good food and it certainly didn't disappoint ! We were met at the door and quickly ushered to a table at the rear of the bar even though it looked full. The chowder was excellent as were the mains of fish dishes. Staff are on the ball and...

Tried the evening menu at Keenans one evening while driving home from Mayo to Dublin. The place was quite busy with a good atmosphere, staff were very friendly and efficient and there were tons of knick knacks around the walls, really interesting to see. My better half had homemade veg soup to start while I had the black pudding on...

We arrived with 2 toddlers that we hadn't mentioned (by accident) when we booked last minute the day before! Annette, was more than accommodating when by rights she could have explained that the beautiful room that she allocated us in the house adjustant might not be most suitable for toddlers, as it was boutique and high end luxury (non of...

I went out for dinner with my friends recently. The food, the atmosphere were great. But the service was not as good as it used to be. One of the boys staff who served us had so much attitude. He was really rude. Such a nice restaurant. We often used to stop over there on our way to Westport. But...

Arrived at the hotel around 1pm, the car park so we parked on the street. We couldn't open the hotel front door as it was locked... Eventually a lady came out of the door and we entered a very dark reception. There was no one at the desk so we used the phone to call for assistance. We got checked...

Had dinner on the 11th July and book a room for the 12th July. Great stay, Annette made us very welcome and gave us a great room on the ground floor. Would recommend this hotel highly for its location and its food and atmosphere. Pints of Guinness are like cream.
