Love this hotel, great food,staff and menu. Staff very helpful. Very spacious and comfortable bar/restaurant. We love going here for a sunday carvery or just a nice evening meal child friendly too. Recommend.

We stayed here after a wedding in another hotel. The reception staff were very helpful and efficient and the reception area was clean. Really enjoyed my weekend in this hotel. It was clean & staff were lovely.. I would highly recommend it for a hen weekend as they organise everything for you. The food was lovely too. We went to the cousy farm & the hotel organise the bus etc.

What a change at the hotel since my last visit, staff pleasant and helpful, room clean spacious, lots of wardrobe space and hangers, bathroom enormous with lovely towels, everywhere was clean plus there was bottled water provided when we arrived. The staff were really wonderful very helpful with everything and the food was amazing we really enjoyed it, then we had a chat with the owner David was really a pleasure to talk too. Also Ryan was very good behind the bar was never waiting for a drink.. Will definitely be back..

We stayed here as we were attending a wedding nearby. Not the most attractive building but the room was good and had everything we wanted.The staff were super-friendly and the restaurant, although not haute cuisine, served excellent food in large portions at a reasonable price. The Darnley Lodge Hotel was the estate office for the Darnley Family who owned the town of Athboy and surrounding land from 1770. The family had an enormous influence on the development of Athboy until the power of the landlords was finally weakened by the Wyndham Act of 1903. They eventually sold the town in 1909. The Darnley estate office, was finally closed in 1948. The Darnley Lodge Hotel is a haven of tranquillity in the Midlands. The Darnley Lodge hotel has 15 newly refurbished en-suite bedrooms. Our hotel is an ideal place for you to relax and unwind with its homely charm and welcoming feel. Co. Meath is known as the royal county and is rich in heritage, boasting2 heritage towns, Kells and Trim.
