Hey fellow travelers, I just have to share our amazing experience at The Ungasan Resort, specifically at Villa Nora. We've been lucky enough to travel the world and stay in some stunning places, but The Ungasan is something else. This trip was extra special as we were celebrating my wife's 50th birthday, and it was the perfect setting for such a milestone. When you check out the website, the views and villa layouts look incredible. But let me tell you, when you're actually there and you look out over the ocean and hear the sound of waves in the distance, it's truly something. We all felt the same each day we spent there... Absolute perfection. The staff's attention to detail is beyond. Imagine waking up, going for a quick swim and coming back to find your room already made up – and this is at 9 am! It's the small things that make a huge difference. They somehow anticipate your needs without being intrusive. Heading out for lunch? The staff is ready with buggies to whisk you away to Sundays, where you're greeted with big, warm smiles. The food here is fantastic – every dish is a hit. We even asked for some in-villa cooking, and the villa manager shopped for ingredients, adding them transparently to our bill. When we hadn’t finished what we had bought or what was left, they even suggested recipes like beef rendang to ensure we didn't waste any food. This level of care and sincerity is rare and makes you just want to come back again and again. I noticed that some might talk about the resort's seclusion, but we found it more of a blessing. The tranquillity here beats the busy streets of Seminyak any day. But getting to places like Jimbaran Bay for surfing lessons was a breeze, just a 20-30 minute drive. Or if you wanted to go to Savaya day club etc there are all close by. We did however spent most of our time between Sundays (sunset evenings with fire pits for the kids with smores) and rose for the adults. Special thanks to Brendan (GM), Kylie (guest services manager), and Anik (villa manager). Their efforts made our stay incredibly special. EVERYTHING YOU WOULD WANT AND MORE! Recently my partner and I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for 5x nights as the perfect end to our 2 week trip in Bali. This was also the location that I planned on proposing to my partner so my expectations were very high. Its safe to say that my expectations had been exceeded by a far. If you're planning a wedding, engagement, party/event stay here! Sasha the event manager is one of those very special people who you don't come across very often and made our engagement possible. Even after a lot of back and forth emails, no request or last minute changes was too difficult and she did everything with a smile even when I know I was being a control freak. From the moment we had been picked up from another hotel in Seminyak we felt very well looked after. Walking into reception we were looking over the most beautiful view of the ocean off the cliffs edge. After check-in we had been greeted by the General Manager Brenden who personally walked us around and showed us a few things such as the beach club, pool area and spa etc. I've travelled all my life and never have I had a general manager take such care and interest in there clients. We were then show to our cliffs edge 1x bedroom pool villa which was unbelievable. Breakfasts were incredible every morning and our butler Awan was so amazing. As part of the proposal I had also booked the Jamadara for the last 2 nights stay. Hands down this is the best property I have had the pleasure of staying in. Everything was simply perfect. It's already passed two months but I remember vividly the wonderful time my family and I spent in this hotel. Everything organized for your utmost joy and pleasure. Great infrastructure, great service and above all, great people, dedicated to making you feel good. Communication by emails since the very beginning was fluid. They answered and provided all what we asked. They have a fantastic transfer service from /to other places of Bali, considering It is somewhat retired from the hustle and bustle but that also gives it a special charm. Where to begin? Sublime is probably a good way to start. Without a doubt, this resort offers so much more than a 5 star experience, thanks largely to Brendan, the 10 star GM. He is obviously loved and well respected by the staff who in turn, do a superlative job in looking after their guests. The entire resort exudes a sophisticated, yet relaxed charm that encourages total relaxation from the minute you arrive. Our group of 8 (4 sisters and spouses) enjoyed the combined space of Villa Chintimani, complete with 20m swimming pool and gorgeous manicured gardens. There is so much to enjoy and so much unexpected space in this villa. In fact there are many details to delight, from the supreme comfort of the king bed to the large bathrooms, surrounded by incredible flowering plants along with stunning ocean vistas. And if that’s not all, the complimentary breakfast at Ungasan is reason alone to stay at this resort. Each morning you experience a wonderful culinary occasion where everything from hot cappuccinos to perfectly cooked eggs are served in style. Of course, the Ungasan Resort is remote but that didn’t prove a problem in the least. The quality of the food and massages, the very reasonable pricing, (except for beer😩) not to mention Sunday’s Beach Club which offers an incredible bespoke experience for villa guests, means you have enough variety for a week’s stay without getting bored. My wife and I stayed for six nights to celebrate my wife's birthday (Villa 210 in Nora Residences - plunge pool and Jamadara Villa). Our stay at Ungasan was simply awesome and met and then exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived to the time we left. Everyone was so helpful and happy (which was infectious) from our butlers at both villas (Erwin, Dewa, Retno) to the reception staff, Sunday’s Beach Club staff, security, drivers and management. The butlers were always available but not intrusive which we liked. The GM personally met with us which was real surprise on our checkout. No request was too hard and we both felt very comfortable asking for assistance. The rooms were well maintained and spacious with good amenities. We pretty much tried everything on offer during our stay at Ungasan. Gym Tennis court Golf putting Restaurant in villa dining and special dining The Spa Had a driver for the afternoon Sundays Beach Club Everything was fantastic and like I said met and exceeded our expectations. Not a lot to do in the area as a bit remote but there is no reason to leave to have a very relaxing and pampered holiday. Meals were fantastic and great value for the quality of the resort. Our stay in villa Chintimani which was infact 6 seperate villas with plunge pools and a large general pool on the clfftop. Butler service was outstanding and the food excellent. Best Bali resort in 15 years of regular travel to Bali.

I attended an amazing wedding and had a fantastic experience at The Ungasan, I was lucky enough to stay in Villa Tamarama with the wedding party. Lofan our butler was very polite and made sure we had everything we needed. The event manager Sasha also provided exceptional service organising everything our friends envisioned perfectly and exceeding expectations. I highly recommend both the Tamarama Villa and its neighbor, the Padma Villa. Both were jaw dropping and different from each other.

We cannot find enough superlatives for the Ungasan Clifftop Resort. Everything about the place is amazing, from the lush, calming & pristine grounds, super attentive staff, jaw dropping villas with ocean views and delicious food & drinks. We stayed in the Ocean View Suite and would definitely recommend paying extra to get this suite for a couple. The infinity plunge pool and view of the Indian Ocean is unbelievable and we would just stare at the view in amazement. The butler service is fantastic, as they are all so friendly and attentive and the breakfasts are the BEST!! Fresh fruit, juice, yogurt, honeycomb, fresh pastries & bread, smoked salmon and then any warm breakfast if your choice - no words! Look out for the monkeys tho, as they do lay a visit now & again, although they leave you alone if you ignore them and make a banging noise to shoo them away! They were there long before the resort anyhow!! We will definitely be back and are already looking to book again 🤓🫶…

My partner and I cannot thank The Ungasan enough for partnering with us to create our dream wedding! We did a buy out of the entire venue and held three separate events including a welcome dinner, wedding reception and my husbands 50th birthday at Sundays Beach Club. Every event was perfect, every detail was thoroughly thought through, nothing was too much and we had the ultimate luxury wedding that only dreams are made of! Our entire experience partnering with The Ungasan was a pleasure. The venue itself is stunning and all our guests were mind blown by the breath-taking views, HUGE villa grounds, delicious food, attentive staff and great service. A huge call out to our Event Manager, Juni, who I cannot thank enough. Juni was the ultimate professional. He was kind, responsive, patient (to my 1000 questions) and he was always able to find solutions for everything that we needed. He is an absolute pleasure to work with and he will go above and beyond in order to make sure that your special day is perfect.
