This place was exactly what we were looking for after going from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. If you want to escape the city and get some peace, this is the place. We stayed in one of the bamboo huts for £8 a night. It's just a bed in a hut, no thrills, but you don't need any when the setting... More

In our trip on Chiang dao we rented a motorbike and when we were looking for the mountain temple we found this beautiful hotel. The rooms are very basic but more than enough if you are looking for a relax and peaceful place . The staff is nice and then restaurant in front of the hotel very good also.

Wood sheds full of holes, yes this is simply what you get here. Free access for all mosquitos, spiders and other bugs, plus the critters that eat them. If you come here to be one with nature forget it, owners playing pop music over the speakers mounted outside for all guest to hear. Very strange behaiviour in my opinion.

We booked the House for 4 guests. The house is really good and the location is good (in the countryside near the caves). The place is very paceful and scenic. But... the owner published in Agoda that the house has a kitchen, so we bought many food in order to cook our own dinner. Our surprise was that the kitchen... More

Came upon this restaurant while trying to find another. Very good staff and great menu - meal came to 240 THB with a beer. Car parking available. Believe this to be part of the resort complex opposite.

We stayed here for a couple of nights, and enjoyed the peace and relaxed atmosphere. The location is within walking distance to the monestry ontop of the hill, and the nature trail leading to the caves. We had a scooter which is a must if you stay here as it is a fair walk to the main town of Chiang... More

Stayed at 'At Home Chiang Dao' from Feb 12-17, 2016. Their perfect cozy cabins allow for you to enjoy the quiet serene atmosphere of Chiang Dao. Each cabin is situated away from the main road and noise levels are obscured by the main building. You can enjoy the tranquil surroundings by sitting on your own private patio or take a... More

I stayed for 2 nights after a commute from Chiang Mai by bus so I could experience Shambhala festival. Great value, a warm welcome, comfortable bed and my own hammock and garden, with nature treks, caves and temples all a bike ride away. Needed a taxi to get to the festival and natural springs but worth it.

Planned on staying here 3 nights, ended up staying a 4th... the on-site restaurant is the best food we had in Chiang Dao, and the huts are cozy with great views. The place's aura is incredibly peaceful, and there's enough to do in the area to fill a few days. If I visited Chiang Dao again I would stay at... More
