Detailed Reviews
Our family chose to stay at Smiggins Hotel for our 2020 winter vacation. In amongst the chaos of Covid19 we were lucky enough to secure lift passes for Perisher and book our accomodation with Smiggins Hotel.
From the moment we arrived we noticed the fantastic customer service that we would find to be consistent for our entire 4 night stay. From reception, to bar and kitchen staff, they were very friendly and helpful with all of our requirements. We stayed in 2 interconnecting rooms in the hotel. The rooms were serviced daily, and were immaculate for when we returned each afternoon after a day on the slopes.
The kids were able to be dropped off for dinner at 6pm, while my wife and I were able to enjoy a 3 course dinner each night from 6.30. The meals were fantastic, and we were impressed with every course throughout our stay.
With us staying early in the season there wasn’t enough snow at Smiggins for us to ski, but the staff not only offered a shuttle service to Perisher (2mins down the road), they also set us up with complimentary lockers at Perisher so we didn’t need to lug our skis back to the car each afternoon.
For our next family holiday to the snow we will definitely rebook with Smiggins Hotel. Next time, I’ll make sure that smiggins lifts are ready to be open so we can utilise the ski-in, ski-out option.

Absolutely Fabulous!
I’m almost reluctant to write this review as I’d prefer to keep it a secret!
It has been our second visit as a large extended family of three generations. The staff from beautiful Belinda to the housekeepers were exceptional. The 3 course dinner meals included in our package were delicious
Our grandchildren loved kids club!…….so did the adults! The kids had a supervised dinner in the restaurant at 5:30 then were entertained in the kids club room till 9pm. If they wanted to leave it was fine. The organised activities were creative and varied. The fireworks night was a favourite
On top of all this the lodge is positioned at the base of all the lifts in Smiggins
Our sincere thanks Belinda. It was a wonderful few days for us all
Fingers crossed we see you next year!

It is our second visit at this hotel for a ski holiday and Smiggins hotel and appartments proved yet again to be the perfect spot for our family. We were in two connected studio apartments , quite spacious, tastefully furnished and serviced daily by very friendly and professional staff. The heated bathroom floor was a great feature in the cold weather. The food in the restaurant was world class in presentation and taste, enjoyed by the whole family.
Pick up of the ski equipment from the rental office was easy and efficient and the staff there was also very friendly and knowledgeable.
I could not complete this review without a special mention of the reception staff - absolutely gong the extra mile in these testing times to make sure that our booking and stay was without a hitch.
Thank you Smiggins - you deliver excellent service and have great staff!

We are just finishing up a five night stay in a Mountain View room at Smiggins Hotel and it’s just been faultless. The staff in every single area were 5 star amazing, friendly, helpful & just all round faultless customer service.
The restaurant food was fantastic, we had a three course meal every single night and everything was cooked to perfection. My friend is vegan and nothing was too much trouble for the chef to adapt for her.
My 9 year old daughter absolutely loved the kids club each night & they also did a kids dinner with kids club each night which allowed for us adults to have a little time out. We’d definitely stay again.

Stayed here over a long weekend for the last few days of skiing. Rooms were clean and spacious plus we had a nice view of the slopes. But it's the staff that make this hotel stand out. They really went out of their way to help whenever possible and make our stay comfortable/fun. It was end of season so meals were a bit repetitive, but still the best food on offer in the area (by far). The included breakfast buffet was tasty and covered all the basics and they had a few good wines on offer too. Other places we visited had wine on tap. Would definitely recommend.

Another wonderful stay at Smiggins. Normally on snow accommodation but given it’s late in the season the Smigs/ Perisher link was closed. Not a problem - the team run you over to Perisher in their very fancy mini bus and come and pick you up when you call them. Big step up from the old Troopy. Breakfast and dinner were delicious as always; and kids love having their hot chocolate in front of the fire in the lounge… beds comfy and never ending hot showers.. been coming here for a decade now and why not? Belinda and team make sure you have everything you need. Thanks for another great stay guys !

Sometimes it’s about the comfort of the room, sometimes it’s about the food, sometimes it’s about the ease of access to the slopes and these things are all excellent. However, this time it’s about the staff. They were really nice, really professional and really friendly right from the start, but once I got stuck down here because my home area went into lockdown, they simply couldn’t have looked after me any better.
They have made me feel like a part of their family group that seasonal workers form and I am very grateful. I will certainly be coming back for years to come. Very happy. Well done Belinda and Joel. You have a wonderful, warm crew.

We had an amazing 4 nights at Smiggins Hotel and Chalet Apartments. You just can’t beat this property for the location, amenities, fabulous food and friendly, welcoming staff. Everything runs like clockwork, thanks to Belinda and her talented team. Grab your gear from the lockers, pop your younger children in the kids club for the day, ski straight out on the Smiggins slopes and away you go. Meet up at the cosy lounge bar by the open fire for apres cocktails before treating yourself to a delicious dinner, followed by an in-house magic show, fireworks display or some quality live music. Most of the people you meet are repeat guests for good reason. Ski holidays with family and friends can be logistically complicated, but Smiggins Hotel makes everything easy so you can relax and enjoy yourselves. 10 out of 10!

We are a family of four. We started at Charlotte's Pass at Stillwell. Changes occurred and Stillwell will never be the same. We tried this place last year and were impressed. We are now on our 4th return and it is our new happy place. Belinda is a delight as is her team who are just happy to help. This is a great family place, or if you just want that nice getaway as a couple its just as good. The fire place is great, the Cocktails are OMG and the food is right up there with the best on the mountain. It needs a better wine list, its actually good, but given the standard of the food and the cocktails you want better. Did I mention the pub with the blues and some of the best fish and chips and soups made. Ski In Ski Out, Parking, this place has it all. But Shhhh don't tell anyone about our secret else you won't get in. Already booked twice for next year.

We’ve stayed here a few times over the years. It is consistently clean, convenient on snow accom with great meals and an awesome team of people happy to help.
We are a couple and we always feel comfortable here. I’ve taken my sisters family here. A great on snow experience for kids. Kids were 15 and 16. They could go out and ski when they liked while we watched on.
If you’re a family you should give this a try.
Convenient on snow parking. You couldn’t want for more.
