The Facility: The property is fairly new and is in good shape. It is very clean, the rooms are spacious and well appointed and it offers a fitness centre, wi-fi and most other services offered at an extended stay style hotel. The Location: The hotel is NOT in Phuket Town but is located in a residential suburb well outside of...

The hotel was nice. The beds were hard, but that seemed true everywhere we went in SE Asia. This place is good for a starting point to explore the East side of Phuket - if you rent scooters or get a taxi to take you. There is not much within walking distance.

We stayed here for two nights. The location is not great if you want to walk around during the day/night, however there is a bus stop (10Baht) out the front which will take you directly into Phuket town (20 minutes). The hotel was clean and our room was a good size, simple, but nothing bad. We didn't find the staff...

We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights in March 2013. The location is really bad, not in the walking distance to Phuket Town, not any of the beaches. Beaches are actually really far away, and 30 min - 1 hour motorcycle ride. There is no restaurant in the hotel, nor any restaurants nearby. The staff is useless (barely speak...

My partner and I spent one night at Rattana Residence really as a pit stop. We had flown from Chiang Mai to Phuket and were travelling to Railay the following day. The first thing to mention which I think is important is that this hotel is not in the main centre of Phuket town. This is a residential area and...

Loved this hotel, it was perfect for what we needed which was basically somewhere to get some sleep after the journey from the UK before moving on to Koh Phi Phi. Close to the pier, short taxi ride or walk if you have a good sense of direction....and humour. Not noisy at all. Great street food nearby! Overall, value for...

The Rattana Residence is a nice hotel, clean with spacious rooms. The staff are friendly and helpfull and can arrange a number of activites around Phuket. This is worth mentioning because the location of the hotel is on the outskirts of the town and even though the hotel luckily is situated in a quiet sidestreet, the road to town is...

We checked in on 20th November after travelling down on the overnight train from Bangkok, we thought we would have to wait to check in but our rooms were ready, we got free upgrades which we weren't expecting, we were given suites, which were fantastic and more than we hoped for, The manageress was so helpful, nothing was too much...

“Food is a little hard to come by since this is a residential area but we managed to come across a great find. If you exit the hotel and walk to the top of the small road, turn left on the main road and head down for about 5 mins until you see some very colourful signs in Thai on the opposite side of the street. Cross the road (if you dare!) and head down this side street and there is a restaurant (no name) with a veranda and some wooden benches and tables. We came here for some dinner and the waiter brought us out the English menus. We were a little concerned since there were no prices on the menu and we were sure we were due for a right ripping off.....alas, chicken noodle soup, a huge plate of chicken noodles and 2 cokes came to the grand total of £2.50. The best value for money meal we had during our whole holiday!”

“Try to get a room high up - the view can be nice. One disturbing factor can be that the airco on the balcony was one of the noisiest I ever experienced but did keep the room really cool and with the doors shut it was ok.”
