Marriott is a brand name you know and can trust regardless of where you are in the world. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel at home and welcome. There is a reason why you can buy their beds and pillows online because of the quality they bring. Nai Yang beach was not first choice of where my wife and I wanted to stay on our second trip to Phuket. After our first night out of 6, we knew we made the right choice. This area of Phuket or where this Marriott is located is just south of the national park so the surrounding area and beach is still a natural setting. There aren’t monster hotels along the beach or thousands of tourist and people trying to sell you things when you are out walking around. It gives you a glimpse of what Phuket beaches used to look like 20+ years ago and because of the National Park, this area should remain like this. The hotel also kept within the building code of no structures over two stories along the beach so the hotel is perfectly disguised among the tree line. That isn’t the same for other beaches and areas in Phuket. There were also many different restaurants and bars within a 10 minute walk from the hotel if you are looking for something different. The hotel had a variety of different services but my wife and I found the gym and relaxing by the pool to be the best for us. There was also a motorbike rental across the street from the hotel too. My wife and I went scuba diving and left early in the morning so the hotel made us a Breakfast Box to take with us. Jinny the restaurant manager and her staff go out of her way to make you feel special and cared for. We tried a lot of different items on the dinner and cocktail menu and each was exceptional. I wish I could remember more names but the staff at all the restaurants and bar area go out of their way to talk to you and have real interest in good conversation. Everyone spoke great English and would even help you speak Thai if you asked. Special thank you to Mr Pong and his staff for keeping the hotel property looking beautiful and running smoothly during the hard times of the COVID era. His long hours and dedication to his craft is what truly makes this hotel special. We won’t stay anywhere else in Phuket.

We spend a week here in a group of friends, it's indeed a memorable stay !

Front desk staffs and Bell team are helpful, kind and hospitable. Thank you Khun Amm for providing superb rooms for us.

Rooms are great. We recommend to stay in Pool access or Villa with private pool it also has a beach front !

Swimming pool is huge !

Housekeeping does TOP TOP TOP service, HK staff made sure she prepare my PJ on the bed at turndown everyday even I hanged mine in the bathroom.
Room are extremely clean, HK assist to fold and re-arrange my clothes even I have them already folded.

Turndown with a handmade origami bird. That's lovely :)

Khun Mimi and Khun Jarad at restaurant (Andaman and Big fish) are extremely professional. Especially Khun Mimi we met her during breakfast even evening time. She remembers what we like at breakfast and made sure we had a great time at dinner providing Bonfire on the beach for our last nights.

Had a chance to meet Khun Gerd, the GM who kindly gave us a fond farewell.

Thank you Phuket Marriott Naiyang Beach for excellent service. We had a marvelous stay 💙

The hotel has one of the most under rated and secluded beach on the Andaman sea side, right next to Mai Kao beach. It is a private beach with no outside access and 24/7 security.

Hotels offers a wide range of room selections with the beach front villas being the best! It looked like the hotel took advantage to renovate some of its luxury rooms and all of the rooms are very well maintained. However, during morning and evening peak hours, there seemed to be a problem with hot running water.

Staffs are all super friendly and are eager to serve. However, some are more helpful than others with sometimes misaligned information. One such example would be if you call to book hotel car, you could be offered a price of ฿2100 R/T or ฿500/hour for the same type of car. Or they can call a taxi for you to take your to super market just 20 mins away and charge you ฿900 R/T.

One of the most important factor for choosing a hotel during this time especially in a place like Phuket sandbox where everything is so fluids, it is important the hotels staff can be highly flexible and think out of the box to problem solve for guests! While I encountered the challenge of Thailand shut down all domestic flights and entered a country wide lock down, I was left alone to figured out contingency plan with the hotel staff unable to provide help and management not intervene or showed any concern.

Food in the hotel restaurants were good with their Thai food being the most superb! However, given that many guests were having a long stay in the hotel, I strongly suggest their can be more innovations to change the menu every other week so to keep up the appetite of a some “stranded” tourist.

All in all, being a seasoned traveler this is one of the hotel I would highly recommend for the Phuket sandbox!

Dear davedevil725, On behalf of the entire hotel team, we would like to thank you for tanking your time giving us a feedback. It was very appreciated to hear that you enjoyed with the room, the beach and the food at our Thai restaurant. However, we would like to thank you for giving us your feedback about staff services and food menu. We understood this is the hard time for guest traveling under Phuket Sandbox Program during lock down. Please note that your feedback has been shared to entire team to improve the better services in the future. Once again, thank you for sharing us your feedback and rated us 4 score. We hope that we will have a chance to welcome you back again on next occasions. Best regards, Pang and the hotel team

I love this hotel. The rooms, suites, villas and facilities and rally good. As a hight status Bonvoy member, I usually get a good upgrade and may other benefits. Service form the team is awesome. High marks. The beach access is the best. Take a walk down the beach to visit Nai Yang village for beers on the beach, good food and relaxation time. Time your walk based on the the tidal flows.

Here is what needs to be addressed.

1. After a nice check in experience you are offered a hotel buggy ride to your room. On the way to room, you are driven right through the service delivery area of the hotel. Not only is it an eyesore but it smells. In hot humid weather you can only imagine how bad this gets. Not a welcoming first impression.
2. when standing in the driveway lobby area, the shuttle buses sit under the covered carport with their diesel engines running and the fumes get trapped under there as you wait for the transport buggy. It makes you feel feel sick and I am sure it's not healthy. Have the drivers turn off the engines!
3. The big heavy chairs in the main dinning area and the outlets by the beach make such a loud annoying noise when moved by quests or staff. It's not necessary. Even when sitting at the beach relaxing on the beach chairs you hear these loud noises of staff and quests moving chairs at the bar area. What a racket! Please spend a couple of THB for each chair you have so they can be moved easily and without such a horrible noise.

Other than these annoying 3 things, I really like the hotel and will always go back.

Dear 128bradleyp, It is wonderful to see that you had a great stay with us here in Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach. A quick walk down the beach opens up many options for drinks and food, in a local atmosphere which is always a nice way of exploring the local area by foot. It is particularly nice to see that the expectations as a valued elite member have been met and that our staff was able to exceed expectations as well as the property itself. It is true that our staff has to use our passages made for the buggies to escort our guests to their rooms on arrival, however normally that should not cause any disturbances and we have already passed this point on to our team to see how we may improve the arrival experience. We have trained our staff to ensure that when possible, engines should always be turned off as much as possible and to share this with local taxis and chauffeur services. Only at few occasions do we let engines running for cooling purposes. Your feedback is much appreciated and we thank you for taking the time to share it with us. We have also passed it onto the teams and would love to have you back in the future, please do reach out to us so we may ensure another great stay, and maybe be able to show you some improvements already. Best wishes and a great rest of the week, Maximilian and the Marriott Team!

Nice hotel in general but when u compare with other Marriotts in Phuket this one needs to improve in cartoon areas :
The set up for breakfast with the Covid paranoia policy of plastics shields every where is too paranoid .
We just came from another Marriott hotels and the buffet was open and you never had the sense of excessive implementation for the virus . An hotel is not a clinic and we all know what our risk are .
They serve paper napkins because they say helps to prevent the Covid , when a napkin goes thru the same process of a towel or bed pillow .
At the pool area they provide single plastic water glasses with plastic cover . Same plastic bottles in the rooms . Where is the environmental policy of this company ?

Another issue is the sand flies on the beach . After 3 days we got all bitten .
You can't walk or use the beach . They need to treat the beach and eliminate the sand flies . In the rooms we never had any special amenities to apply to avoid those sand flies which where reported to us during the check in process .

The service is bad at the beach restaurant and we needed to call the attention of the waiters to assist , with delivering wrong orders too.

Renaissance Hotels which we stayed the week before was indeed better than this one .

Dear Veritas-2146, Many thanks for your candid review. I really appreciate that you took the effort to voice your observations. However, I would have warmly welcomed the opportunity to talk about your findings face to face as well which could have explained few of your observations. Since the first day of the pandemic we have put a wide range of protective measures in place which were not only recommended by public authorities and are part of Marriott’s commitment to a safe and clean environment, they were also highly welcomed by our valued guests. I understand that you feel different about these measures and as thorough they might appear – they are designed to provide you with the best possible experience in current times. As much as I would love to cater to every single taste and sentiment – when it comes to health and safety we do not compromise. In the end our guests, and many of them are frequent ambassadors to our resort, value and embrace the way we take care of them. I invite you to read through previous reviews that talk at length about our level of service, something we are truly proud of. We at Marriott have a broad environmental policy and I encourage you to visit our corporate website that will provide details of all the things we do, on global, regional and local level. In the past we have been experimenting with glass bottles. However, as you might have noticed we do have many pool access rooms and at times guests do drop these bottles on the floor which could contaminate all areas, including the pool itself. That is a serious threat to health and safety, hence our desire to find a suitable solution that is environmentally friendly and sustainable. Unfortunately we haven’t come across one yet that is widely available in Thailand. While I agree with you on the plastic part I am very surprised about your suggestion to “treat the beach”. We are part of a Natural Park and with that during and shorty after rainy seasons (including the whole coastline of Thailand) we see a bit more insects than during dry times. During check-in every guest is alerted of this (I am glad you recognized that), we have placed signages along the beach, and we always recommend to apply some simple coconut oil to exposed skin before venturing out. We obviously provide the coconut oil to our guest if being asked (most guests are savvy travelers and bring their own remedy). We would have provided to you too if you would have inquired. Dear veritas-2146, I am saddened to see that apparently nothing we had done during your stay has met your approval. While I would have welcomed the opportunity to discuss your points during your stay I sincerely hope you will return back to our paradise soon. I would love to exchange thoughts with you, showcasing how deeply we care about our environment and the health and safety of our valued guests, and listen to your recommendations where and how we could do better. Once stepping into the resort, you feel relaxed instantly. The whole environment holds true resort feel and the hotel is well spread out that you feels the solitude and peacefulness of the place. Check in was very personal and helpful which helps especially after the hassle and haggling over taxis form airport to hotel. It is less than 10 minutes away from airport, you get to paradise at the fastest speed and leave the resort late. I have all my meals in the resort except for 2 nights where I arranged for hotel transport to Patong town (45min to 60min) and once to Nai Yang village (5min away). Meals were average in the hotel.Word of warnign , hotel is cut of form the world so you will have to go to the nearest Nai Yang Village to get any supplies.

We hang out at the pool everyday with a wonderful view o fhte sea but it was low tide most times. Will be more beautiful when it is high tide.

Found a marshmallow bbq party one evening at the beach in front of the pool. Guests are free to mingle and BBQ marshmallows which the hotel supplies FOC. Fun!

Hotel transport is reasonably priced so we arranged for all trips out and back with the hotel. Worth to consider.

You can walk to Nai Yang Village form the beach but you will have to tread through some water to get across there. Alternatively, you can just get a cab there,

The room we stayed was fantastic, clean with very comfortable bed. Bathroom was beautifully styled.

The only downside is that the hotel staff was unable to fulfil my special request of egg white only 'sunny side up" style. Hotel exec Chef was nice to accomadate and did it for me. SO the whole trip was great. Will definitely go back there again.

The only downside throghout my stay

The Marriott hotel Nai Yang Beach is truly an exceptional hotel from The pool boys to Look Nam and the breakfast team, ‘On’ our Room maid, Reception, Bar staff and the restaurant team with Master Chef Bastian each have gone above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, it’s only 15 minutes from the airport but is very peaceful and quiet the layout is beautiful at the edge of the National park, a 15 minute stroll down the beach to Local bars, restaurants and shops which have so far retained the identity of a typical Thai village without the McDonald’s and KFC. This is definitely a hotel we would return to.
THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF

Dear 511jillE511, We are so happy to see that you have enjoyed not only the property, Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach but also its staff and exceptional customer service. We have already shared your feedback to our team to ensure they stay motivated and keep creating these outstanding experiences. It is true that our property is within the Sirinat National Park, and while it does give us seclusion in the high tide parts of the day, our guests have a lot of possibilities to explore the National Park as well as the local village next to us (along the beach - 15 minutes walk during low tide) This option is often preferred rather than using our complimentary shuttle bus at 09:30 hrs -12:30 hrs and 13:30 hrs - 16:30 hrs which gets our guests to and from the village. We would love to have you back in the future, so please do let us know when the next trip to Phuket is planned, and we will be here! Best wishes, Maximilian and the Marriott Team!

If you want to relax, away from the city, this hotel is very well located (15 min from the airport) on a long clean beach (more than 5 km).
It provides ample space with a huge pool, green spaces and a secluded beach (the best you can have in Thailand as private beaches are not allowed).
But what really makes the difference is the staff: Maximilian is genuinely friendly and all the staff is on par, with the legendary thai smile and a very good level of English. If you have kids, they will be taken care of with the kids club and free beach / sea activities: stand-up paddle, kayak, kite...
Finally, 1 week was a bit short... but we have now 1 reason to come back :-)

Travelers to Phuket know that there are countless numbers of hotel choices to consider when visiting, but knowing what the right location for the right type of intended trip can be perplexing.

As a Marriott Ambassador Elite guest, for my weekend getaway needs to the island (wanting to stay at a Marriott branded hotel), Marriott Nai Yang delivers in quality and experience.

The 10 minute proximity to the airport is perfect, as I don't need to go to Phuket Town or to Patong Beach (too crowded), and the Marriott product is as-expected as a frequent Marriott guest.
The staff does excel at delivering kind hospitality, and the hands-on care and oversight by GM, Gerd, reassures guests of their valued visit.

The rooms are very clean and exceed expectations. The poolbar has a great burger and delicious cocktails ... what more could you want for a weekend getaway from Bangkok.

Take a break .. you deserve it !

A very nice, modern beachfront hotel just 15 minutes from the airport. The resort has a big pool, spa, well equipped gym, two restaurants (international and Thai) a day bar and a kids club. Hotel provides also kayaks and paddle-boards (for free).
Rooms are nice and clean, staff very pleasant and helpful.
Meals in both restaurants were very good, also a good selection of food for buffet breakfasts.
The beach is quiet and clean, but very shallow, a long way to get to deeper water (even at high tide), so we spent most time at the pool. Otherwise everything really good, we can recommend this place.
