this resort gives you access to the a small part of the Tabin wildlife reserve. It's overpriced for what it offers. Accommodation is clean and well kept, the food is acceptable and the service mediocre. Activities can be arranged which include trekking, night safaris etc. It's poor value for money offered at this resort.

I have stayed here for 2 days 1 night, the road journey via gravel road is quite bumpy, the room on the river lodge is beautiful and just in front of the river, the night drive is awesome as we saw flying squirrel, western tarsier, owl, malaysn civet and many more. The trek to mud volcano and experience applying the mud on face is fun.The... I have mixed feelings about this Place. We stayed for 3D2N. I simply loved the location of the resort. Beautifully snucked into the rainforest. The Hill Side lodges are just fantastic. You feel like you living in your own jungle hut (which you are basically). The river side lodges are for the lazy people that want easy access! Our Guide,... More

Going here has got to be one of the most amazing experiences ever. If you want to feel like a real explorer, David Attenborough type then this is for you. The 3 day 2 night "safari" is completely full one. The expert and helpful guides will drive you round or have you trekking through the rainforest from dawn to dusk... More

We really loved the experience in Tabin Wildlife Resort and Reserve. We were there in June, 2014 for a 3N2D tour. The resort is surrounded by lovely rainforest. All the rooms were newly printed. We stayed in one of the river lodges. You can see the river from the balcony of the room. The other side of the river is... More

The tour guides are great. The animals lovely and there are many of them. Don't be surprised that the night time tours are on the border between the forest and the nearby plantation. The animals adopted to this area. There's plenty of food throughout the year and thus there's plenty of prey. For the people that would like a more... More

A great place to experience the rainforest and to see the wildlife. Given its location, the resort does really well to provide an efficient service and comfortable stay. We thought the food was delicious and we certainly didn't go hungry! Agreed the rooms are a little basic (we stayed in a river lodge) but you cannot fault the location or... More

Very professional and knowledgeable guides. We had a well-organised programme tailored to our interests. Nice seating area by the cafe where you can watch the birds and monkeys! Food was good and tea/coffee was always available.

Our bird guide from Sabah, East Malaysia, recommended that we spend a few days in the forest reserve in Tabin. And in this place there is only one place to stay - the Tabin Wildlife Resort. From the airport at Lahad Datu town, it's about an 1.5 hour car ride to the resort, more than half the distance is on... More
