I was so disappointed with this part of our trip! We went to Borneo for two weeks and stayed 2 nights on the Kinabatagan river and two nights in Tabin. The river lodges were great and although we didn't see as much as I had hoped, the guide was friendly and the service good. Never mind I thought. We will...

Tabin, set deep in a pocket of old forest, is well run, comfortable and atmospheric, and an excellent way to experience the rainforest and spot wildlife. The chalets are clean and spacious, and have private balconies. The river ones look across the stream to a wall of dense trees; the hillside chalets are a steep climb up a long walkway,...

The location of this lodge couldn't have been better for visiting Tabin National Park. The night drives are a great way of seeing the nocturnal animals, although it is very easy to spot gibbons and hornbills whilst having breakfast. The rooms were large, comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and our guide and driver were excellent.

Stayed 2 nights in late March. There has been an El Nino drought so bugs and rain were not an issue. Elephants are in the area occasionally which is apparently the reason one cannot walk on the (very short) trails alone. Although one can walk on the roads. Because, it would seem, elephants wont be there? It was really the...

We stayed here for three nights in January, 2016. Overall our experience was very positive. We saw a wide variety of wildlife. Dusk and night drives seemed to be the best way to see mammals - we saw bornean pygmy elephants, bearded pigs, flying squirrels, malayan civets, asian palm civets, and three leopard cats on these drives. We did not...

We enjoyed our two day visit to Tabin. It's an upscale jungle lodge set among gorgeous and animal- filled secondary rainforest. Their programs include guided hikes and keep tours during the day and evening. We enjoyed seeing macaques, orangatuans, jungle cats, exotic birds, lizards, and even unusual insects. We generally enjoy more unstructured outdoors adventure, but our guide was very helpful...

This is he best tourist destination in Malaysia. Remote. Wild. Exotic. Accommodation is basic but fine. The night and day safaris are awesome. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. If you want a adventure recommend you give this a go. Bring your own snacks and medical kit as it is remote. Expect home cooked food.

We stayed at Tabin Wildlife Reserve for 2 nights, after staying previously at Sepilok, Abai Jungle Lodge and Kinabatangan River Lodge. As we pulled up to the property after a 2 hour drive from Kinabatangan River Lodge, the last part of the journey is quite hard going as the road surface is not tarmac, i felt slightly disappointed. But after...

This lodge is outstanding for the diversity of wildlife. The night drives are amazing, the gibbons are so exciting to watch, the otters in the river, the amazing birds, the orangutans high up in the trees -- really quite amazing. There is a lot to be seen at Tabin, and we had Maldin as our guide. He showed us a...

We had a couple of really fantastic days at this lovely lodge. It was much quieter than all of the other five lodges that we stayed at in Sabah, but what it lacked in customers it made up for in the quality of wildlife seen. Our guide Jessica was brilliant, her wildlife knowledge, especially her bird knowledge was exceptional. Jessica...
