Torquay Beachfront Caravan Park is celebrated for its prime location, offering easy access to the beach and nearby attractions, though guests have called out the traffic noise on occasion. The park's amenities and rooms are commended for their cleanliness and space but are noted to be clean yet outdated, with some suggesting the need for modernization. The nostalgic atmosphere, underscored by golden oldies music, adds to the relaxed vibe of the hotel. Despite mixed views on value, the service receives consistent praise for being friendly and helpful.

We love Hervey Bay! Torquay Beachfront caravan Park is a great place to stay. We have been here a couple of times and camp with our comfortable tent setup.
It’s quiet, right on the beach for beach walks or walks along the beautifully maintained walking paths along the esplanade. Being in the middle of the bay, one can either walk in the direction of Urangan pier or towards Scarness.
Close to shops too for walking or driving and also a few food places.
Amenities are clean and fairly well fitted out, but you will need your own soap. Showers are hot and I never had to wait.
Camp kitchen is fairly basic with a fridge, toaster, BBQ and jug. No freezer or cooking implements, but this may be COVID restriction? There is a washing up sink available but you need to supply your own detergent and dish brush.
Managers are friendly and helpful.
Our whale watch tour picked us up directly outside the caravan park.
So relaxing watching both the sunrise and sunset.

Me and my partner where travelling the east coast due to an accident in our van resulting in a smashed windscreen we needed to stop in Hervey bay to have it repaired fell upon this campsite where the staff were outstanding could not fault them, very accommodating to us when we were unknown to when our van was going to be repaired held our site open each day for 3days to allow for us to plan with the external company. The location is brilliant walk less than 100yards and you’re on the beautiful sandy beach and a short stroll onto the esplanade to all the restaurants and cafes where we became regulars at one. The amenities are kept very clean and have everything you need at all times the staff work so hard to keep this site one of the best in the area. Can not fault their service and would highly recommend stopping here if in the area or have a trip planned.

This past Friday we battled the traffic 😫 up the coast to our destination: Hervey Bay.
After surviving the insane storm on Friday night 🌪, we spent the rest of the weekend riding our bikes, watching the ocean and eating out.
We barely cooked a meal so I’d probably classify it as glamping 💁🏼‍♀️👌🏽✨
We booked at the last minute so didn’t have the choice of sites but we have a great time no matter we are and this time was no different 😄
🗣 Shoutout to caretakers Varee and Bruce. They do an amazing job and are so helpful and friendly. On Friday night (9pm) when the storm hit, Bruce raced out of the house in his PJs and helped hold onto our gazebo while the tornado 🌪 passed through 🙏🏼 A massive thank you to Bruce.

A bit of info about the park:
🌊 Beachfront
🤏🏽 Sites are quite close together
🚽 We found the amenities block quite good
🧺 Laundry facilities (probably coin operated)
🚰 Camp kitchen (inc free BBQs and fridge)
🍽 Lots of restaurants and takeaways to choose from
🚤 Boat ramp next door
🎣 Jetty or beach fishing
📱 Good reception
❌ No fires
🐶 No animals
💲 $54.50/night powered site

I and my friend were first time campers and the manager kindly help us put our tents up as there was a gale blowing and set to get worse during the night. We were incredibly thankful as it is not part of their services and he went out of his way to make sure we were safe and secure.
The amenity facilities are great - laundry, bbq's, fridge/freezer, microwave, electric kettle, clean showers and toilets, even washing up detergent and paper towel and they sell bags of ice at the office.
Best of all we had a brilliant position overlooking the beach and opposite, cafe's, restaurants, IGA and beautiful parks.
Easiest and best camping ever site ever!!

We stayed 3 nights at this caravan park and had a caravan site looking out over Hervey Bay. Access to the beach was a few sites up. The beach walk is nice and goes on for miles. We did one way one day and the other way the next. The site has a kitchen area, laundry and of course toilet and shower facilities. We only used the showers but everything was quite clean. Laundry is 4.00 per load and lots of space on the clothesline looking out onto the bay. The caravan park is not far from the shops only a 5-minute walk. Parks for kids are quite close and if so inclined you can rent an electric scooter as they are everywhere. There was only one thing that I could fault the park with and that was that they only had one dump site and it was clear the other end of the park but I guess it just depends where you are parked.

Torquay Beachfront Caravan Park is an ideal location for caravanners or campers.
It's the fourth time in 12 months we have travelled from the Gold Coast to enjoy this area.
The amenities are clean and well looked after. Good shopping and a very wide range of excellent restaurants are right across the road or in easy walking distance. There are also range of clubs that offer the use of courtesy bus.
The beach is ideal, no crowds, still water for kyaks, surf skis etc or to just throw in a line to try your luck.

Just returned from our 6 nights at the park. I was lucky enough to book a cancellation they had for Christmas-New year period. From my initial call with Megan to our check in, Megan and Justin are very hands on and friendly Managers. Justin assisted us backing into our site and we always saw them walking around the park checking on guests and amenities. We were on site 14B one row back from the beach, it was lovely hearing the ocean at night. The weather was a bit overcast and extremely windy while we were there so be prepared to tie down annexes (the man behind us broke his annexe during a storm the night before we arrived). Toilet and shower facilities are older but extremely clean and we never had to wait for showers. The park location is fantastic right in the heart of Torquay with an easy walk to lots of eateries, shops and a small Foodstore for grocery items. The park is going to be redeveloped in the next few years as part of Fraser Coast Council caravan park redevelopment. If you walk/ride to Scarness you will see the caravan park there which has undergone stage 1 so if that is anything to go by then the Torquay park will look amazing once completed. We had a great week and would definitely return.

Great location opposite shops and a great view on beachfront sites. Our beachfront site was very tight and did not have a car space. We were not informed of this at the time of booking so our car had to be left near the office. Not convenient at all. We paid extra to obtain a beachfront site and our site was shaded by a large tree which made it quite cool to sit under awning at this time of year. Would be great in summer no doubt. We found the staff friendly but some of the regular quests were not. It was almost like we were intruding on their park! They would gather their chairs around and completely block the way to the amenities. Wouldn’t even acknowledge with a hello which by the way is free. Not friendly at all. Quite disappointing and wouldn’t return.

This Caravan Patk is just in it to collect cans they need to spend more time in keeping the park clean with cleaning the showers and toilets. They are disgusting. What about instead of can collecting time is also put to raking up the leaves on the ground.

We had a campervan, and got a beachfront site, with the camp kitchen and amenities nearby. Plus the steps to the beach directly in front of us. Absolutely superb. The man in the office was very helpful and all amenities very clean. There was even a tap to wash the sand off your feet when returning from the beach.
There are plenty of restaurants nearby and a BBQ available at the campground.
We had a wonderful time here.
