Detailed Reviews
We found this motel met all our requirements, we wanted somewhere fairly cheap and easy to access for one night on our way up the Bruce Highway. It was clean and quiet. Didn't use the pool as the beach is just across the road and easy to access. Not alot of restaurant places to eat directly by Motel but lots within a short walk. Kitchenette was good to have.

We stayed for 4 nights in a budget room that faced Ann St. A little street noise but not enough to stop a good night's sleep. Room was clean, updated and roomy. Hotel is located across from the beach and a comfortable, level walk to the main part of the main shopping/restaurant area. A few cafe/restaurants as you do that walk. Pool area looked very tropical and had a bbq and seating area. Hired pushbikes and a days car hire 100mtrs from the mobile for a very reasonable rate, very friendly couple run company. We didn't have our own car but used the local taxi company who were very quick to come each time. About $15 by taxi to the Boat Club at Urangen. Nice club overlooking the marina and across to Fraser Is. I had a pushbike accident which resulted in a trip to Hervey Bay Hospital emerency and all the staff at the motel, reception and housekeeper were all so caring and kind. Loved Hervey Bay and would definately recommend this motel and hope to stay here again in the future.

We stayed here for a night on our return from K’gari. The motel was in a great location opposite the beach with several restaurants within easy walking distance. The motel rooms were clean, comfortable and had air conditioning. A great little motel which is very reasonably priced.

The welcome from Tracy at reception was warm and genuine. We were given our room but also offered a couple of alternatives and Tracy showed us to each room for our inspection. We were only in Hervey bay for 48 hours so stuck with the original room. This room (17) was a upstairs budget room. It was clean, comfortable and had a small fridge and ample tea / coffee supplies. It had good quality towels and linens and a comfortable bed. There was quite a bit of road noise early in the morning but this, of course, isn't the motels fault. The motel is just across the road from the beach and an easy walk to local cafes, restaurants and shops etc. The motel represented very good value for money and I would recommend it. The only suggestion I would make for someone staying here is to consider any of the room set back from the road or one that looks inward to the complex and away from the street so as to minimise exposure to the road noise

My husband and I recently spent 4 nights at the Beach Motel. We originally booked a Standard Room on the ground floor. On the first night the smoke alarm went off at 2.30am and continued going off two more times. We reported this to reception the next morning and asked for a quieter room. We upgraded to a Spa Suite on the first floor which was a much nicer room but still noisy from the traffic. The premises are situated on the Esplanade and back onto another very busy road so it is a noisy area.
The reception staff were very pleasant and the rooms clean and beds comfortable. The rooms are advertised as being serviced daily which we thought meant having the beds made, not replacing sheets but just made, however this did not happen but was not a big deal for us.
We did not have a car and without one you would need to enjoy walking to get to any of the eateries, apart from an Italian restaurant nearby. It was also too far to walk to the famous pier. The RSL courtesy bus picks up from out the front of the motel and there is also a public bus which runs along the Esplanade on the hour.

The deluxe standard room was clean and comfortable but on their website they mention it has a Dining Area and also mention Dining Setting there is neither. There is a settee with a coffee table and a desk with one chair but no sign of a table and chairs to eat at. Also our room had uncovered glass over the door and a security light right outside, which was on all night, so the room was brightly lit, which meant no sleep. When a complaint was made I was told that it could not be fixed until after the weekend. Since we were leaving the following day that was no solution. They did, at my suggestion, cover it with cardboard for our second night.

Great place to stay, very well located opposite to the beach, and excellent service. I stayed at the motel last month with my wife and we had a family situation because of which we had to leave two days earlier.
The staff were very understanding and refunded us the value of the two days' accommodation when they had no obligation to do that. It is great to find people who really cares. I highly recommend this place and we'll definitely be back.

Great value for money. Lovely staff, clean well serviced room. Comfy bed, and all the amenities in the room that made our stay in Hervey Bay perfect.
Central and convenient location.
Well placed for dining out, esplanade walks, with rear access to avoid travelling on the busy esplanade.

Firstly the good. The checkin process was seamless, friendly professional people that couldn’t do more to help. The location , if you like Harvey Bay , location fantastic by the “beach”, and great walks right out the front of your door.
The not so good:
The rooms are very outdated and need a big overhaul, update / refresh’s etc, while comfortable just don’t cut it for 2022. Some mould in the bathroom, and edges of walls etc, and no air conditioning in rooms only main room, lucky I wasn’t here in the middle of summer, otherwise it would have been unbearable. There are fans in the room and you have to have the air con on full on the main room so you can sleep. The coffee and tea and sugar was very old and solid from all the moisture.
It was ok for a short stay, but anything more than a few days no thanks.

My apartment was spotless. There were plenty of bits and pieces provided, like plenty of dishwashing liquid, beach towel, shampoos etc.
The front desk were wonderful. Couldn’t do enough to help.
Position great. Right opposite the beach and handy to the local shops and food supply.
I would happily return. Thanks 😊
