Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was one of the cleanest and best run caravan park I have ever been to. The facilities are super clean and comfortable. The sites are a great size and private. The camp kitchen had everything you need and very clean. I also had too stay in their pet friendly cabin because of the rain and the high standard was here also. BUT.... I was even more impressed with how this park is taking the COVID pandemic serious. They have gone all-out with following the rules and provide heaps of disinfectant everywhere. So not only will you have top facilities but you can feel safe there too. Well done to the team at The Palms.

Great park.
Loved the help to get Parked in tight space but it was clearly something he does many times a day and it was no problem.
Great help to suggest dog care to allow us explore places that don't allow dogs.
Facilities and Park maintenance was outstanding.

I have recently started to book directly with motels/hotels versus using booking.com because from what I can gather it is better for the local business. The Palms proved how worthwhile this decision was as I was able to discuss my booking with them, versus attempting to do this through a third party. I booked a room for a single night prior to going diving the next day, so while i can't speak too much for the facilities, the room itself was neat and tidy and the park is central to Hervey Bay. The reason I have given it 5 star is that for the price, you can't look past it :)

Thank you Emma. Yes, it is much better to book direct, rather than with a third party. In doing so, we also have more flexibility as was your case, in the event of needing to change dates, or alter your reservation. You have left a lovely review and it is greatly appreciated. See you next time.

We were left with no where to stay after the host was straight up with attitude, they wanted us to pay for an extra person which is fine, when I questioned the booking the reception just pushed a refund, very unwelcoming feeling and inconvenient as we were out the room fee and had to find somewhere short notice. We have stayed at many parks in Hervey Bay, anything but The Palms is highly reccomendable and reliable. Aswell as basic decent friendliness.

Sorry you felt hard done by. As the manager I was present when you were given the option of paying the additional $20 per night for the extra guest, or alternatively we could offer you a refund. You chose the full refund. The refund was offered as you were obviously unhappy, even though this is not in alignment with our normal refund policy.

The park is very well located, small and quiet, which was lovely.
We were in cabin 7, which is directly next to the toilet block so a striplight shines into the bottom of the blind over the double bed all night. This stopped us sleeping on the first night so the lovely lady in reception did all she could to help. We needed up taping the blind to the window frame! Which worked until it came unstuck!
Overall the cabin was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. There are enough beds for a family of 4 but a tiny table with two chairs both inside and outside - making it tricky for 4 people to eat. There is also a bit of a lack of storage to unpack into or onto. The bathroom for example is a good size and the shower was great, however there are no shelves or anywhere to put a wash bag.
Overall it’s a nice quiet place to stay and the lady at reception was absolutely wonderful. She not only did her very best to sort our issue with the light she managed to stop my overtired kids from fighting and get them both to help!

This is a small park with palms dividing up the area to give some privacy. Great modern clean amenities and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The park is pet friendly and our dog also enjoyed her stay. We will definitely go back.

Very welcoming and friendly. We stayed with our Pug. Our Villa #7 was clean, tidy, with tea & coffee making facilities, air-conditioning, free Wi - Fi, and a little balcony. There is a huge camp kitchen for those wanting to cook their meals. It is walking distance to the beach and shops. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

The Palms is in a great location in Hervey Bay. We were able to walk to the beach and to dine at Cafes and other eateries. It’s a nice quiet smaller caravan park. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and do a fantastic job of keeping the place clean and tidy. The villa we stayed in looked new, and was so neat and tidy with everything we needed. The amenities at the park are excellent and camp kitchen has all you need if you choose to dine in. Great that they are pet friendly and there are also beaches close by to take the dogs. Would definitely recommend The Palms.

We were greeted by a very friendly guy in reception who directed us to our dog friendly cabin. The cabin was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. It was lovely and private and very quiet. Bed was very comfortable and a the shower was great. Nothing like a decent shower. There was a lovely lake at the side where we walked the dogs. The Palms is very close to the beach and lots of restaurants. We would definitely stay again.

We had a fabulous stay to start our camper van journey off up the east coast. The receptionist could not be more helpful if she tried. We had a very warm welcome and nothing was too much to ask. The pool was we excellent, clean and quiet.. Location was good, an enjoyable longer walk to Urangan or a short drive. Would reccomend staying!
