Excellent location just across the road from the beach. We arrived without a booking and received a warm greeting. The rooms were a bit dated but spotless and there was everything we needed for a very comfortable nights sleep. It was about a 2.5km walk to the pier along the beach and only a short stroll to the grocery shops, cafes and pub.

This was our fifth visit and stay at Tower Court Motel and once again, we were greeted with a smile and help with our accommodation for the night. Unfortunately, we were out of luck with our desire to extend our stay - too many whale watchers. Rhys tried his best. The property itself has always been clean and friendly making it very comfortable, not to mention that it's location within easy walking distance to restaurants and takeaways means you can park to car and go out and enjoy yourself. Thank you Rhys & Larysa.

While the motel is a little dated, the room was super clean and the staff on check in and check out were super friendly. The motel is across the road from the beach so you'll be able to jump in the ocean and come back to your room super easily. There are flags around 100m down the beach, but since Hervey Bay doesn't have waves you'll be fine swimming directly across the road. The rooms have fantastic aircon and a kitchen with a full sized fridge, but a tiny TV so don't expect to spend too much time in your room watching TV/movies. The motel is down the road from shops so it's pretty convenient to visit a restaurant, get fish and chips or visit a bottleshop.

I booked and fully paid through Qantas travel. I am a visiting specialist doing clinics for children in Bundaberg and Hervey Bay. I was delayed in leaving Bundy on 22/8/24 riding my motorbike to tower court motel. I got there at 6.15pm finding the office shut without any instructions for after hours arrival. I noticed that there are 2 messages left by REECE the manager on my message bank. The 2nd message advised me that he is leaving and I am a “no show” without any instructions how to get the key. I called Qantas who called Reece and he agreed for me to call him. I called but he did not answer his ph. As I am wondering what to do a family residing there told me that Reece actually lives in unit #1. I knocked on the door at 630pm to face a hostile and rude hotel manager who did not wish to provide the room key to me. I pleaded with him to reconsider as I had nowhere to spend the night and the room was fully paid for. He shut the door at my face telling me that I had “violated his privacy”. I have not been refunded. I think this is very dishonest and not in the spirit of hospitality..

We extended our stay at the Tower Court Motel from 2 nights to 9 nights due to testing positive for Covid on the day we arrived in Hervey Bay. The Motel staff were very understanding and put us in the 2 bedroom apartment overlooking the Esplanade. The rooms were clean and kitchen well equipped so we were are to comfortably isolate without any concern to the staff and other guests. We highly recommend Tower Court Motel as it is in a great location, has great facilities and the staff are very helpful. Hopefully next time we stay we will enjoy holidaying there.

I had a good feeling about TCM after dealing with Rhys over 3 years due to Covid cancellations & the good feeling became real when we arrived for our 4 night stay. The motel is relatively small with authentic rooms, spotlessly clean, good little kitchen, with MW & plates, etc for two. The bed & pillows were very comfortable, windows could be opened for a cross breeze & undercover parking was provided. Rhys was very helpful & accommodating. The overall experience was excellent & great value. We’d not look elsewhere if we went back to HB.

Unwilling to accommodate a last minute change in circumstance - couldnt make it to the booking due to COVID. The owner Rhys wasnt willing to give a refund or a credit saying that they had a minimum 48 hour cancellation policy. Well Covid kinda doesnt give a notice before striking you so how am I supposed to give Rhys ample notice. He still went ahead and charged me for the stay. Very disappointing!!!

Response from Rhys and Larysa Hansen, Owner at Tower Court Motel
Responded 9 June 2022
Upnesh, When you made your reservation at our motel (the same as for any other) you entered a contract with us whereby we would hold your room for you until arrival and you in turn would give us a minimum 48 hours notice if you would not be arriving. Inside the 48 hours you agreed to pay a cancellation fee equal to the first night tariff and in the case of a 'no show' the entire booking. You advised us just 5 hours before check in that you would not be coming and were advised again of our cancellation policy. This was met with your first of many threats of a poor review. Further, you did not cancel with Booking.com but rather left the reservation to be a 'no show'. In either case you were charged one night in accordance with our policy which you readily agreed to at the time of making your reservation. You have made at least four threats to place a poor review if you did not get a refund which is no less than attempted blackmail. Your follow through of the threat with this review denigrating not only our business but me personally is nothing short of defamation and disgusting misuse of this platform. You have used this site and Google for childish retribution rather than their intent to be informative to future guests. Your reviews reveal nothing about who or what we are but speak volumes about who and what you are. Rhys

Our spacious room was spotless with a balcony, very comfortable bed, efficient air conditioning, fantastic position and excellent value for money. If you don’t mind if the decor is slightly dated this is the accommodation for you. Highly recommended if you want value for money and accommodation that is on on the esplanade near the Torquay restaurants and shops.

My husband and I stayed her before and after a 2 day / 1 night trio to Fraser Island. We holiday frequently and this has to be the cleanest accommodation we have ever stayed in, which is important in our current health climate. Although the fixtures and fittings aren’t ultra modern, this place is so well cared for and brilliantly equipped - air con, balconies, pool, microwave, plates and cutlery...... Rhys was an incredible host.... he ensured we were comfortable on our first night, gave us tips on how to get the most out of Fraser Island and was literally waiting to check we safely boarded our transfer to Fraser. He was also waiting for us in our return. If care, cleanliness, quality and attention are important to you, this is the place to stay. Hugely recommended.

Ticks all the boxes for a 3* motel. Neat, clean, quiet, air conditioned and inexpensive. Right on the water, short walk to restaurants and Pub. No cooking facilities (toaster, kettle and microwave) but utensils for takeaway meal and a fridge with reasonably priced soft drinks and water. We loved it.

Hi Catherine, Thanks for your email. The reason we don't like the dogs unattended in the room is they sometimes cry and annoy other guests, we have a lovely lady "Maggie" on the bay who does doggie day sitting she picks them up at 7am and drops them back at 6.30pm for people going to fraser for the day. She is terrific with dogs ,the cost is $30 per dog, Better than leaving them in a cage for 12 hours. Let me know what you think. Kindest Regards Angie.
