Really great stay, we loved everything. The staff were amazing, and the hot water bottles and fire pit in the room was a really nice touch.

The individual chalets were charming & very spacious. Clean, well appointed & in the cooler evenings staff lit a fire for you & put hot water bottles in your bed. The chalets are situated in park like surroundings & the bird life is amazing.

Sorry for the late response. Our East Africa tour package included a driver/guide and vehicle for our stay in Rwanda. We drove from Kigali to the Mountain View Lodge and back to Kigali. Be advised that the Lodge is NOT within walking distance (it is a 15-20 minute drive) to the Park Headquarters or to the treks for the Mountain Gorillas and the Golden Monkeys. A vehicle with driver should be considered a necessity.
