Stayed at this hotel in a triple room for 1 night. Having read the previous reviews after I had booked this hotel and read that mattresses were uncomfortable I was searching for an alternative in the area but everywhere else close by was fully booked. We got a warm welcome from the owner in the bar when we arrived and... More

My wife and I stayed at the Griffin on Sunday evening 2nd October. We had booked a table for 6 for a birthday meal at lunch time on the Sunday. The landlord and staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble. We took a balloon and cake with us and this was no problem at all. It is I agree... More

Richard and his team have been providing great pub grub for many years in this quaint old coaching inn. Chose to eat in the bar, or restaurant , you will not be disappointed.....a very friendly atmosphere, and always personal attention from the proprietor.

I called in while en route to Norwich; The Griffin is a good traditional country hotel and pub sited adjaent to the historic church at Attleborough. Good beer(well kept and served perfectly), polite efficient staff, loaded with history but with all modern conveniences. I greatly enjoyed my stay at the Griffin as a tourist in Norfolk. The Griffin has so... More

This hotel on the surprisingly busy one way system around Attleborough is a period coaching inn. The awkward access into the car park is via the low entrance arch that would in the day have been used by coach and horses. Consequently access is not possible for any vehicle that is either wide or tall. Although if you could get... More

We stopped off for lunch here prior to visiting the church next door - an old fashioned establishment with elderly gents with their newspapers. Very friendly barmaid, who offered range of appropriate sandwiches, and understood that a spritzer should properly be made with soda water. We ate outside in garden area - sandwiches came with lots of salady stuff. highly... More

2 nights here while racing at Snetterton. Car park is very small and tight only really 5 small cars. Single room was small but as I expected it. A bit more attention to cleaning is needed as some evidence of previous guests or cleaners (hairs etc) and a coating of dust on some areas and telephone. The decor is dated... More

Yes it needs a fortune spending on it,but so do most small independant pubs/hotels.Just a nice change from boring chains,Landlord and his wife could not try any harder to make guests welcome, dog barking in the back room just makes it feel more homely to me.Traditional pub menu, but they know how to cook it well, with fresh produce.Football on in bar,a bit...
