Actually a very good carvery (we took our meat portion for our hungry dogs, they said they loved it!) but as vegetarians we could do with a bit of green here and there - nice friendly staff and well priced and very busy do book or wait

Stayed here for 2 nights had the large room with 2 king size beds which was great for myself my daughter and my mum. The only downsides were the beds were very hard but that is personal preference! And as there were 3 of us could have done with at least 1 more comfortable chair only had 1. There wasn't...

Can't fault this place. I would say it's one of the best in the area. Great atmosphere, huge choice of meat, veg and alternative dishes. Be warned it gets very busy so book in advance, especially on a Sunday where they do two sittings.

Stopped off for lunch with my Daughter. Ordered at the Bar and service was good. There was no room in the carvery/restaurant, but the food we ordered was excellent - good variety of good and the same menu as the restaurant. Would recommend to others including families. Relaxed atmosphere. Clean. Good stop off on the way to Norwich.

A very good value with extra dishes other than the norm. The fact that most Sundays are fully booked says everything. The advantage is that if the restaurant is full you can use the carvery and sit in the Stag Bar

Booked two of the basic rooms. They were perfectly adequate but I do wonder if I should have booked a higher spec room. The carvery at this place is always good, as is any other food you get there. Breakfast is not included. There are pretty fixed menus for breakfast which are not good if you have some dietary restrictions....

We stopped enroute to Norwich for some lunch, having driven past for many years! So glad we did, we had lunch in the coffee shop, sandwiches and coffees. Really good value and lovely surroundings with a real fire and comfy chairs. As we walked in we noticed both the bar and restaurant were busy which is a good sign, we...

It was in the run up to Christmas so our little family group was greatly outnumbered by some larger groups enjoying Christmas parties, so noise levels were a bit raised as you'd expect but within reason (for the season). Delicious and plentiful carvery and they serve some adnams beers so can't be bad. Midweek lunchtime carvery prices so reasonable. They...
