Booked a week at the Kata Lucky Villa in one of their pool access rooms.

Overall it was a pleasant stay but nothing was a WOW factor.

Pro’s;
* Quiet area of Kata
* Great prices for pool access room
* Hotel offers shuttle service to Kata Beach throughout day
* Reasonable buffet breakfast with egg station
* Clean and well equipped rooms
* Very reasonable room service prices
* Noi in housekeeping was amazing! She was very friendly and had high standards
* Family Mart, laundry services, massage options and some Thai, Italian and Indian restaurants at your doorstep

Con’s;
* Staff were not overly friendly and had poor English
* Extra charge at checkout for using a credit card seemed very strange
* Quiet area - if looking for more to do, it is a walk up hill
* Pool access rooms - a hand rail may be useful as the step out of the poor is quite large, especially if shorter
* Pool cleanliness could be improved

Would I return?
Probably not to this area. But perfect if you are looking for a place just to relax.

We stayed here for a week, the villa accommodation was large and modern with a great large bathroom with bith bath and shower. Bedroom was also large with a comfortable king size bed. Villa was cleaned every day and towels, beach towels and water changed on a daily basis. Pool area was beautiful with plenty of loungers for the number of guests and size of place. Staff were very friendly and respectful. Blu Pine is about a 10-15min walk to beach and centre and there is a free shuttle from Blu Pine. The best restaurants we found were actually all on the road Blu Pine was on and with a few minutes walk. Would recommend this place to anyone.

I recently had a disappointing experience with the customer service at this hotel, which left much to be desired in terms of compassion and flexibility. Several weeks prior to our stay, I encountered an unforeseen issue with my visa. Understanding the situation, I reached out to the hotel, hoping for a possible refund or the option to reschedule our visit. Despite my understanding of their non-refundable booking policy, the hotel's inflexibility in accommodating a request to adjust the booking dates was disheartening, especially given the extraordinary measures I was taking to resolve my visa issue, including traveling to another country.

When I communicated the progress of obtaining the visa and our commitment to staying at the hotel, albeit on a later date, the response I received was cold and formulaic, emphasizing their cancellation policy without a hint of empathy or basic courtesy like a simple greeting. Their reply starkly reiterated the policy: any failure to arrive as scheduled would result in a 100% charge of the booking value, with no possibility for amendments or modifications.

This response was particularly jarring after the strenuous efforts and the personal ordeal I had undergone, including an 18-hour flight, only to be denied entry and sent back. A more dignified, understanding approach, even if the policy remained unchanged, would have been greatly appreciated. It's crucial to remember that behind every booking, there's a human story, and a little empathy goes a long way.

Given this experience, I am deeply disillusioned with the hotel's approach to customer service. Before even setting foot on the property, if this is indicative of how guests are treated, it raises serious concerns about the level of hospitality and care one might expect during their stay. In the realm of hospitality, where service and human connection are paramount, the hotel's approach was not only disappointing but also a stark reminder of the importance of choosing accommodations that value their guests.

Lovely peaceful hotel where the staff made sure you were well looked after always had a smile when greeting you. The hotel was kept lovely and clean as well as the pools. Really peaceful and quiet and no trouble getting a sun lounger. Only ten minute walk to Kata Beach and thirty minutes to walk to Karon beach which was much quieter. There are some really good Indian and Thai restaurants just next to hotel which we would recommend. We would also recommend going to Nai private beach Karon as beautiful and well worth a visit. Loved the pool access from our rooms. The new villas are now being used which also looked lovely. Hotel still under renovation however we did not hear any noise from where we were staying.

We stayed for 5 nights in tropical villa suite 105 it was spacious very modern & clean.Staff were very friendly & helpful We had meals at the pool bar which were excellent .
There is a small but well appointed gym for the energetic.
It’s set in a quiet location only 5 minutes walk to lots of bars & restaurants, with kata beach around 10 minutes.
We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely do not stay here!!! My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and my birthday. The villa is spacious and nice. But we spent our time killing cockroaches and other nasty bugs. The bathtub has rocks surrounding it; which looks beautiful but is the bugs home. We would turn the shower on or come home from dinner and bugs would be all over the bathroom. We told the front desk and asked for bug spray. They gave us mosquito spray and told us to spray it the day we left. We totally understand that we are in a tropical location and bugs are too be expected. But multiple cockroaches inside the villa? Come on. The sheets were also dirty and the description when you book says free minibar, but that was inaccurate. I 1000% would not recommend staying here.

I loved the Blu pine, the villas were amazing and spacious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Resort was quiet, clean and the food at the pool side bar was excellent. I stayed in the tropical villa which had a lounge and large balcony plus a small kitchenette. Bathroom was large and well equipped. A few downsides: the location is super quiet, which is good sometimes but it was a 10 plus minute walk to the main streets and Kata beach. I didn’t mind it but the kids didn’t enjoy it. They do have a shuttle bus though that goes to the Main Street a few times a day. Not much in the way of restaurants or bars near by mainly I think due to covid closures. If you want more of a party experience this is not the place. It was 300 baht to Patong by taxi one way.

All in all I liked it and would stay again.

Very nice hotel. Room with direct access to the swimming pool, top! Fully equipped and very clean. Efficient and friendly welcome. Close to lively streets with restaurants, shops, massages...10 minutes walk from Kata Beach, large beach but lots of jellyfish :( impossible to swim. Didn't try the buffet breakfast, we had it at the restaurant further away and much cheaper
Great address I will go back
