Loved our stay here! Wonderful Oasis away from the business of kata. Pascal and philip make great hoasts, very friendly, kind and helpful. The breakfast was to die for, all home made, right down to the jam. It was very welcoming to walk into the aroma of baking. Pool area great and relaxing, gardens beautiful, rooms big, practical, comfy bed. Value for money. Could hire a scooter from them. We were sad to leave and would definitely stay again. Thanks for a great start to our holidays.

Small simple bungalows in nice tropical garden with swimmingpool. Everything one needs is here. Excellent value for the money you pay. Meals possible, with passion prepared by french owners. Hire a small motorbike if you are not afraid of chaotic traffic.
Inside the small resort it is relaxing quiet.

The bungalows are simple, could be a bit more romantic. I liked the flatscreen tv, when in the evening you can't go out when raining.

When most of the hotels are in busy tourist enviroment, busses rushing to the street, here it is a harbour of piece. Very nice pool, jacuzzi, and island athmosphere , you not find everywhere anymore.

It is remoted from the beach, so I suggest a bike is necessary.

Please understand Ban LeElephant has two locations. One is a hotel and one is a apartment. While the hotel is nice the apartment isn't. I booked hoping the Apartment location had a pool but it didn't. The pool is from the hotel location. Both locations are very difficult to find. The apartment room is tiny. The TV didn't work. No water bottles, soap, or shampoo provided either so I had to go to 711 and buy my own. Never saw anyone at Front desk reception. Fortunately, I only booked 2 nights there.

Beware there are actually two different properties. Ban Elephant Blanc Apartment and Ban Elephant Blanc Bungalows. The problem is that the reviews for The Apartments are actually for the Bungalows. The hotel is aware of this and so is Hotels dot com, yet neither will take responsibility. We booked the apartments based on the reviews stating it was an “oasis” and had a beautiful outdoor area. It is definitely not an oasis. It was an ugly building, in a shabby alley next to a loud maintenance building. The rooms were at least clean and in a decent location(the only positives). These apartments are cashing in on the good reviews of the other property and had no problem doing it. Even admitting that they were aware of it. When we tried to change hotels they refused to refund any part of our money. Perhaps they are nice people if you stay at the Bungalows...but in this case they definitely were not nice or honest.

We booked this hotel based on the great Trip Advisor reviews and nice photos of the pool, but it was not as expected. The hotel is not 10 minutes to the beach - maybe by scooter it takes 10 minutes, but walking it took us 25 minutes. The location is in a quiet residential part of town.
The bungalows are very very basic, not 3 star standard. This hotel is more suited to a budget traveller. We checked out after 1 night and found a more modern and comfortable bungalow directly opposite Kata beach with water views for the same price, so we felt this hotel was overpriced at 2,000 Bhat per night.
We aren't normally precious but we did need a bit more comfort and convenience to unwind on our holiday.
The owner was gracious and allowed us to cancel our 10 day booking to avoid disappointment given the hotel really didn't suit our needs, which we very much appreciated.

The Ban Elephant Bungalows are tucked behind the main drag in a peaceful little oasis. Well appointed bungalows, attentive staff, breakfast bar and meals can be ordered, and small but perfect pool. All surrounded by well tended and colourful gardens. I can certainly recommend this place. The Thai house is in the same small complex with its own garden. It's 10 mins walk to the beach and local markets not to mention buses and taxis being two minutes walk away. And for those who want a Buddhist fix, the local Wat is five minutes away and the monks do 'bindipat' at 6.30am every day.

This place is an idyllic oasis for eveeyone who enjoys staying in a beautiful quiet place surrounded by nature.
The owner is very friendly and helpful and has a lot of advice. You can rent a scooter there as well which is a great bonus. The pool is amazing and it will be hard to leave this place to go and actually explore the peninsula.
The only downside is, that it's a good 15 minute walk from all the cafés, restaurants and the beach. But as I said, you can rent a scooter.
You can buy breakfast and other meals there and though it is a little pricey for Thailand standards the breakfast you get is amazing and definitely worth getting it at least once.
The bungalows are spacious and a great retreat from the busy streets of Phuket.
I would definitely recommend this place with its lovely owners.
Go and relax in what felt like a little piece of paradise.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are basic, very clean, spacious and comfortable beds. Air con worked well, and the mini bar was a plus, with free water every day. The pool and surrounding area is amazing. The pool is clean, and there are a few loungers, overall it looks like a little slice of paradise! although set back in a residential area, you really feel like you're getting a taste of the jungle once you get into the property. This comes with some setbacks, we had a couple of cockroaches in the bathroom, but they're easily caught and we never had any bugs in the main room. The little bar/reception area they have is a lovely place to come and use the internet and chat with other guests. The internet didn't reach our bungalow but I'm assuming you can get it at closer bungalows. The owners are great people who can't do enough for you, organising excursions and transfers for us. You can have your breakfast pretty much whenever you want, they're very laid back and happy to cook a fresh breakfast with plenty of variety such as yogurts fruits and toast as well as eggs and bacon etc. I think at some point there has been a shortcut through to the beach, however this isn't available anymore and you have to wind your way through the streets to get the beach, a bit of a tedious walk at about 20 minutes. But you get to see the local town and pass by some nice enough shops and cafes, so if you don't mind walking like us it's not that bad. You can rent scooters if you like for quite cheap. Overall a fab stay, laid back friendly atmosphere, clean well kept property's, lovely dog and cats!

My husband and I loved this little place. Jean the owner arranged for a taxi to pick us up from the airport and it all worked like clockwork. We were greeted by Nicky the owners Thai girlfriend. We originally booked for a couple of nights but ended up staying 5 nights. It's not 5 star by any means but it has bags of character and is so pretty. There is a short cut to the beach which takes about 15 mins. Nicky recommended a locals restaurant on the side of the road which we would never have gone to but after 2 weeks in Thailand we have found nothing as good as it. We also hired the moped from Nicky for 200 baht a day and Nicky recommended the areas to visit. The area around the bungalow is interesting for a walk, so to is the busy road where you will see the Thai people carrying out their daily lives. Nicky then found out ferry times and booked us a taxi for our onward trip to the Phi Phi islands. If you want white table cloths and getting dressed up for dinner then this place isn't for you, if however you want a small friendly, casual place then you will love it here.
