This hotel is situated in a quiet street in kata

Only a very short walk to the beach & all the bars & restaurants.. also a great little cocktail bus just outside!

The hotel itself provided a comfortable stay …

Positives

* location .. close to beach
* rooms cleaned daily
*good wifi
*gym

Negatives

*mediocre breakfast
* short staffed pool bar not open until 5 you must use the cafe over the road for drinks
* no hand soap provided in room!!!
* staff were friendly enough but didn’t feel they went above & beyond to make the holiday ( you would be lucky if anybody was ever around! )

All in all an okay hotel but probably would nit stay again as I’m sure there are better options available

Very spacious rooms, clean with all amenities that you need.
Very tasty breakfast, friendly and helpful staff-Lucky was great.
Numbers of pools that will suit for everyone, the beach about 7 minutes away. Highly recommend.

We did not stay at the hotel, but just around the corner. We had a few meals at the Beach Boutique and liked the airy, cleanliness of the foyer area. The hotel is in a sidestreet off the main drag and quiter.
We walked past the spa every day until one day I decided to try their foot massage. Well after that we went daily and tried all their different treatments. My favourite was the Aloe Vera massage after I got a little sunburnt.
The small spa is on the side of the hotel next to the pool area - there are two ladies that know their business when it comes to proper Thai massages. You won't be disappointed. Same prices as the side street ones and better by a million miles!!
I hate being made to feel like I'm on a conveyer belt or just a moneybag like I sometimes feel in the many massage/nail/feet places where the girls call out to you. You won't feel like that here.

This spa is very dignified and you go in there and forget about all your worries and life hassles.
Both ladies are good, but specially the older lady is very, very good, respectful and very knowledgeable. She sorted out my husband shoulder issues.
The two rooms are super clean. Good aircon, nice atmosphere. Afterwards you are given a little fruit & hot tea. We gave them happily a tip every day and on our last day I bought them a small gift to say thank you. They were so happy and gave us in turn a small souvenir which we treasure.
We went every single day!!! Very, very worthy!! Do though make a booking !!!!

Here now. Hotel very clean and swim up room lovely. But, thats about it. Non of the hotel facilities are open, once the mediocre breakfast is over you cannot get a drink or snack of any kind. There is a bar but closed. There are guests at the hotel but are forced to go out as the place is dead. Music sometimes in the moring but mainly nothing. No life, no atmosphere, not welcoming after a day out. Go elsewhere

The hotel cancelled our booking 2 weeks away from our New Years family holiday. I contacted the hotel several times via email, telephone and via Booking.com seeking information and re-book but received no response. I have now had seek alternative accommodation at an inflated price. Not acceptable and an appalling service from a hotel that clearly cannot be trusted.

I went there with my family and two very young children.
We stayed there for 5 nights which we paid ahead. The hotel is too far from the beach, the swimming pool is very small.
On the day we were supposed to leave, we had to pay another 4000bht. We had unexpectedly a problem with our credit card. The manager did not want to compromise in any way possible and would not let us go. He pressurised us into giving him my diamond engagement ring and my wedding ring. It felt more like racketing and he was blackmailing us. If you don't give me your engagement and wedding rings, we won't let you go and we'll call the police.
We argued and argued to try to find another solution and the children were getting tired.
After a while being on the phone trying to solve what was going wrong with the credit card, the bank reactivated another card that we had so as to enable us to withdraw money.
The manager looked disappointed when made the payment and he had also called the police just in case we could not pay the 4000 bht. I was certainly not going to give him my rings. At one stage I even thought of letting my husband fly with the kids home to solve the problem and I would have stayed homeless in Phuket waiting for the next day.

Terrible and traumatic experience!!! Besides not very well located and far from the beach.

First impression of reception was good. We got to our room at around 4am and the shower did not work. Our bathroom had seen better days and was in need of repair. Next morning we reported the shower and came back from beach to find it still not working. Once fixed throughout the holiday the water was often cold. Breakfast was an adventure. They would take room number then it was free for all and often no tables were available. On one occasion my son was sitting at our table and a Russian woman came and sat at his table and refused to move! The hotel was full of very rude Russians probably 95% and the final blow came at the New Year Gala Dinner. We paid 14000 baht which equates to £280 for me, my wife and 2 children. We had to reserve our table in advance that took about 3 visits to reception and an hour with the member of staff. On the evening itself the staff were not very organised and showed us to our table. A Russian couple then came to our table and told us it was their table and we disagreed. They would not move and stood by our table while we tried to eat. Then the Russian woman shouted abuse at my family and left to go to another table and decided to sit staring at my 12 year old son. Eventually I took a photo and she then stuck her middle finger up at us, nice! We reported this to Lawrence the food and beverage manager who was hopeless and did nothing other than tell us they had got the wrong table and we asked for the general manager who apparently was not there but then magically turned up. we told him our New year had been ruined and we would like a refund and to go somewhere else but he refused and just offered us another table so we just left the hotel at 9pm, happy new year! The bar staff were very disorganised and never had cash to give change if you wanted a drink. When we checked out they overcharged us for drinks in room that we didn't have but we just paid in the end to get away. The beach is about 10 minutes away but you have to walk down a stinking pathway which is far from paradise. Maybe we were unlucky but the mobs of rude Russians and the management not dealing with our issues was very disappointing with our experiences here I would definitely not stay here and look for somewhere else.

This hotel was an absolute oasis in the crazy place of Kata beach.its literally 30 seconds from everything you need.
I emailed the hotel prior to my stay requesting a ground floor room, but on arrival I was given a third floor room, and after 24 hours I explained due to my mobility problems could I be moved. This was done with most professional manner I was taken on a golf buggy to be shown a ground floor room which was my little piece of heaven, it was a massive room with a private terrace with a small but lovely pool 2 steps away. My room was cleaned every day by the most courteous maid . I had a little problem with the WiFi but this was rectified straight away. The whole complex is exceptionally clean and every member of staff was delightful. I ordered room service on a few occasions and the food was excellent.
I would like to personally thank JK a gentleman on reception who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was lovely, even giving me his telephone number when I went out exploring using the local buses , to ensure I could ring him if I got lost.
I have travelled all over the world , but the hotel is probably the best I have stayed in because of the staff. I actually cried when I left.

I stay there for 2 days with my friend. It's only 3min walk to the beach, and Kata beach is very nice....compare to Patong (which very crowded n dirty)
The room is very clean, and big (we get 221) dont know about other room. It has 2 bed, 1 king size other single. I think it can fit 3-5 people. The furniture and decoration is simple and sweet.
Free wifi with good connection.
And it's only about THB 1.798 for 2nights.

Not sure how we ended up booking this place. It was our first night in Thailand, I had some work nearby, it was roughly in the price range we were looking at, and we didn't do much research.

A month later of traveling around SE Asia this place is still memorable. It was without a doubt the worst place we stayed: not the most basic, not even the dingiest, but least helpful, least welcoming, and least comfortable place.

First there isn't much reason to go Kata. It's dusty, with a depressed tourist vibe, and open sewage flowing down to the beach.

A few hilights of the Beach Boutique:

* when we asked the front desk to call us a cab, they were unable to, instead directing us 200m down the street to the taxi stand. On our first night in country in the middle of the night this alarming (without much cause), but over the next 24 hours it was merely puzzling, what kind of hotel can't flag a taxi?

* when in a jet lagged state I tried to kill the giant cockroach I found in the bathroom with the nearest hard object, and I ended up shattering the complimentary glass water bottle the front desk's response was not to offer to send a maid, or even a broom, or be concerned about the presence of cockroaches in their bathroom but to inform me they would be charging us for the cost of the bottle.

* as we were leaving we booked a fast ferry to Koh Phi Phi (also probably better to avoid), and when we asked the front desk for logistical help in getting to the ferry, again they were not only unable to help arrange a transfer, they sent us to the wrong ferry terminal. (thankfully amazingly friendly and competent folks at the ferry terminal put us back in a taxi, sent us to the right dock, and called ahead and had our boat wait for us)

* but the real coup de grace of this place was around 1am (after having found a broom and swept up the glass, and eventually smashing the two giant cockroaches) we were laying in bed and it sounded like someone was taking a shower in the bathroom. I was exhausted and inclined to ignore this, but my wife prompted me to go look, and what I found was a steady stream of water pouring out of the light socket. After spending a while on the phone trying to explain this to the front desk, and then hiking our way through the weird condo-burbclave-walled tourist community in which this hotel is located up to the front desk I eventually explained to them the problem. About 30 minutes later someone showed up, banged around for 20 or 30 minutes, then turned off the water to our room (and possibly the whole wing) and told us, "Don't go in the bathroom, not safe, roof might fall, engineer will come in the morning." At which point I expected that maybe we'd get switched to another room, or you know some acknowledgement that running water (but not from the ceiling) was included in the price and be given a discount (maybe just the cost of the broken water bottle), but nothing so much as an apology or an acknowledgement of the inconvenience. The repair man showed up about 8am and started tearing apart the bathroom, we were never able to take a shower or use the toilet and eventually checked out.

The Ibis nearby is a perfectly nice hotel in roughly the same price range (though it doesn't include the questionable free breakfast), so if you have to go to this town for some reason, try there.
