We had a meal here-not resident. It was a lovely meal for our family at very reasonable price. I had fish- my husband had lamb and our son had sausage and chips. Our very fussy daughter ordered chips only which raised an eyebrow (I cringed...) but she got the biggest plate of chips I have ever seen. All portions are...

Great place to have a stopover. The hotel is dated, but in a charming way. It's very clean, extremely comfortable and has everything you need. It's not fancy, but it's a decent 2 star hotel. The corridors reminded us of the Overlook Hotel, which is fun. We had dinner in the hotel's restaurant and loved it. Traditional French family cooking...

Our family stayed here for an overnight stay, great to break a long drive as very conveniently in a natural park not too far from the motorway. Enjoyed the large portions of hearty food cooked with local seasonal ingredients in the restaurant, that is very popular with locals Room very spacious and impeccably cleaned and even though near the road,...

We visited L'Auberge de la Plaine fora family meal at the end of a holiday in the Champagne region. The cooking was superb, the portions were enormous €16 for a four course formule and the starters on the a la carte menu were big enough for a main. I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant and will certainly visit it again...

This was our second visit and it was a delight to return. The hotel is so typically unspoilt French - the decor may have been in fashion once but, hey, who cares. If you want pretentious "boutique hotel" this is not for you. If you want amazing authentic French country food in a clean, friendly hotel in an excellent location...

We booked this hotel, again, since it afforded us a very convenient first 'stop off' point on the way to the South of France. It is on a convenient road which bypasses Troyes and passes through some very pleasant countryside. The rooms at the back are clean and comfortable but i hasten to add, not plush, but perfectly adequate for...

We used this auberge for an overnight stop as it was good value. Positives: Rooms were surprisingly well appointed with hairdryer, shower and bath. Negatives: Walls were paper thin, road noise from heavy lorries charging past all night, restaurant is expensive.

I stayed here for one night 6 /9 /14. The room was clean though small. It was very very hot as no one could be bothered to open the window and close the shutters against the afternoon sun. This was not a late booking and the room had been reserved for many months. The hotel has a feeling of general neglect,the...

When we first saw this Auberge, we thought 'how nice.' When we saw the inside we were not disappointed, but it was not as good as the outside. however, having spent a night there, we decided we MUST come back. We had FOUR visits last year. We are of the opinion that the pace has been refurbished and we are...

Since I was visiting the yearly photographic festival of Montier en Der and since I had also a dinner planned here with a bunch of friends here (had on last year already), I chose to pick up a room here for 1 night. I must say that for the price you pay for the room and food, for this quality,...
