In the middle of nowhere so you really have to want to go there, but I would recommend you do! South of Troyes and we made it from London easily in day on a driving holiday to Lake Como. Tiny village and this is the only hotel. Lovely room and the staff were very friendly. There is a restaurant underneath...

Looking for an overnight stop-off between Calais and Switzerland, we have stopped at many attractive villages and Les Riceys must be one of the best. It is a lovely, characterful little town on the Seine, south of Troyes and retains all of its 17th Century charm. Le Marius hotel is in the centre and a delightful place to stay. Rooms...

We stayed for three nights in Room 3 (midrange), the attic room during the Aube leg of our Champagne trip. The room is reasonably sized and simply furnished. The bathroom is pretty basic too and the separate toilet did smell of its function a little too much! We found the bed quite hard and uncomfortable for us. The price for...

I have been visiting Le Marius for over 10 years now, but never got to write a review. Let's do it now. This is a great spot for exploring the Champagne. I always stay for 1 night (traveling through) and I always meets up with my expectations. Located in a beautiful village, near / under the church. It is quite...

Le Marius hotel is right in the centre of this very quiet little town. Easy to park in the street or you can pay a small charge and park in their locked courtyard. The rooms are well equipped and spacious and the beds comfortable. The restaurant at Le Marius is set in the crypt and although relatively expensive the food...

We stayed one night on the way down to La Plagne an although its a few miles from the motorway it was worth it. Fantastic large bedrooms with big en-suite. We ate there and the food was excellent. It is also connected to a Champagne house so we had a tasting of several champagnes. Beautiful little village as well

Stopped over night at the hotel and had evening meal in the restaurant on demi pension. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great all round visit. The proprietor is also a champagne producer, which we didn't realise until later during our visit. The room was fine nothing special but very quite at the back of the hotel on the ground floor....

14th/15th August 2015 - one night stay. We had intended to have dinner here; a plan demolished by a 5 hour delay at the Channel Tunnel in Folkestone. We phoned ahead to say we would not be here until midnight - no problem said Madame, and it didn't seem to be as we got the warmest welcome on arrival. We...

We pre-booked the grand chambre, which is a little large. the bathroom has a double sink and good working plumbing and a nice bath. not a stand up shower but hand held. Beds are good and comfortable, good lighting etc. Its a small village with narrow streets and farmers start early, so avoid a street side room if you want...

A perfect overnight stop. Very reasonably priced and with well kept up rooms verging on luxury. This is not t say that there is an elevator or minibar. Bot very warm welcome, very comfortable beds. Good and recent decor. Good dinner, simple and with seasonal, regional ingredients. We were happy.
