After being let down at the last minute at our usual haunt for a monthly sunday lunch for a large group of friends in January, I contacted The Cartwright Arms to see if they could fit us in. I liased with Dannii Pritchard who was faultless in her organisation for 13 of us and in her organisation of a reduced...

We were throughly impressed with the welcome we received, and the comfortable feel this place oozes. Breakfast was simply faultless. The rooms were very well appointed for a three star hotel. The beds were comfortable and commodious.... The staff were so genuinely friendly that they set a phenomenal example. Full marks and recommended wholeheartedly.

Caroline Parkes is one of the best hotel managers i have ever met. She bends over backwards to satisfy her guests needs and to make them feel welcome. An ideal small hotel for a short break. The food is delicious!!!!

This was our third stay at the Cartwright over the New Year period. Once again Caroline and her team did us proud. The rooms are of a high standard with tea and coffee making facilities. We stayed for three nights for DBB, all of our meals were of a high standard with a good selection from the starter through to...

B ooked the best room ( at a good price). It was huge and well fitted out. Trees blocked a the view out a bit but it did not spoil anything. Carol singing on the green Christmas Eve was a nice touch. followed by a super Christmas Eve 5 course Dinner. Christmas consisted of breakfast, then the Christmas Lunch (...

Had a 2 day break here from Christmas Eve until Boxing Day. It's a small hotel within an old Coaching Inn, and everything about it was of a great standard. Nice bedrooms with bath & shower over, little touches like satsumas & dates in the room along with bottled water, quality biscuits & tea & coffee. A Christmas gift from...

Everything was ready for us when the family arrived and the standard of service was excellent. The food was delicious and the tea just kept coming. I would recommend the Cartwright Arms to anyone looking for a...

I recently visited the exquisite establishment for my Grandmother's 87th Birthday. My father had arranged an afternoon tea for the family. My grandmother is an amazing woman but she does struggle to walk. Everyone knows that the first impression of a place is important and our first interaction with the staff was them opening a side door which was more...

I have stayed at all 4 of the hotels run by Oxfordshire Hotels. They have all been good but, this is the best one I have visited. I took my mum away for a Christmas break and I was really struck by how caring the staff were. I was also very impressed by the quality of the food provided. Aynho...
