Had a beautiful meal here. Beautifully cooked and tasted great. Had the mixed meat roast and my husband had the sirloin steak. A little pricey but worth it. Pudding was delicious Had the brandy snap basket with raspberry sorbet, was to die for. Excellent service.

Just stopped while walking down the canal, had a ham sandwich and blanch bait (white bait) nice food, nice staff, nice place not the place for a romantic meal but definitely a place for a nice meal or stop...

This is a typical old world type English country pub located beside a canal in lovely countryside. It seems to be very popular with locals and we were with 2 people who visit it regularly. The lunch menu looked good to start with but there were too many dishes deep fried and most had chips of one kind or another....

We have stayed here before and not experienced issues. Until this time :( We were located in the double room (number 2). Don't get me wrong, initially, everything was fine, friendly check in, facilities within the room perfectly adequate (enjoyed the availability of cereals within the room, teas, coffee, two bottles of water and orange juice in the fridge, as...

Went for a social drink on Sunday haven't been for many months but surprised at the renovations. However what shocked me was the staff and perhaps they know who they are stirring trouble over alleged Facebook comments. Wonder if it is the same staff member who shopped Robbie? Anyway be careful what you say or do or haven't said or...

We've had Sunday lunch here a number of times now. The good is excellent and I can highly recommend the mixed roast!! If you book the later sitting they will let you reserve a dinner which is a great idea and works really well!! We've never been disappointed! Also the staff are extremely friendly and professional!

I always enjoy eating here, especially for their Sunday roast.this is the best place to eat in the Banbury area and the staff always get it right. It's not too fussy and a relaxing environment to enjoy a nice meal and a drink

Lovey pub, great atmosphere, located near the canal, shame the pub garden is not directly on it but just across from the carpark. We were lucky enough to time it just right with live evening music by a band travelling on the narrowboats, so was a great evening. Good food, very attentive, friendly, efficient staff. Romms are on the ground...

Stayed one night as as a stopover on the way home. It was a lovely find, it was a plesent room just off the nice pub and the room had a bit of quality about it and well worth the price. Nice decor, quality fittings, a fridge, in room breakfast and nice toiletries, good location, added to that we could...

1. A pot of tea for two should not be half-full. 2. The gents' toilets should not smell of wee. 3. Please greet passing trade with a smile, at least. Restaurant looked nice, and I'm sure you're working hard to make it a success, but we won't be back to find out.
