Stayed overnight with our van. Very large sites so easy to park. Nice amenities with plenty of room. Happy hour hosted by the managers - byo drinks & chair - nibbles provided. Friendly management. Magic sunsets. Would definitely stay again.

Warrawong on the Darling is a real gem of a place and highly recommended if you are looking for a place to stay on your travels. We booked for three nights on a powered site and ended up staying 4. The sites are large and well grassed with some backing on to the billabong which could do with a bit more water but only decent rain will bring that. Plenty of bird life, kangaroos and goats that come down to drink from the billabong early morning and on dusk. There is a 10km round trip drive that takes you down to a couple of interesting locations on the Darling River. One is the gum tree appropriately named ‘Big Red’ and the other is the Darling version of Bondi Beach with galvanised safety flags. Bring your kayak if you have one for a pleasant cruise down the river back to Warrawong. The managers are very pleasant and helpful and put on nibbles for the obligatory 5pm happy hour under the shady trees near reception. Amenities are some of the best we have seen. The showers are just huge with a large separate area for changing and shaving. Ignore the bad reports about Wilcannia. It is a great little town to visit with some beautiful early sandstone buildings. A small supermarket, two fuel outlets, a pub and a golf club with dine in and take away Chinese round out the amenities. Wilcannia is also a great base to take a day trip out to White Cliffs where, along with the opals, you will find a pub, fuel and a take away that serves great burgers.

The facilities are excellent, would be 1 of the best caravan parks in the area, the newly renovated ablution blocks is amazing. Beautiful green grassed area to camp on. The view from kitchen would be lovely if they only got rain. Friendly staff, well done

5 day business trip. Staff were friendly. But was only offered a v small single small room in the Dongas despite larger rooms being available the whole time. I could see 4 empty my whole trip. My Trip cut short by two nights. No refund. Despite 10 more 4/5 day trips in the coming year I’m staying somewhere else.

Great accommodation for a stop over on our way to Broken Hill. Very clean, comfortable and good amenities in a self contained cabin. Would highly recommend and will gladly stay again on our next road trip.
