hotel was ok, nothing luxus, but our room was to the street and therefor we could not sleep. Also aircondition was very old and super noicy. Room was old fashion, but big and clean. there was dangerous broken stairs, i fell many times.
Our group stayed in Prim's several nights. Everyone liked it since it was nicer than most of the hostals we stayed at. One reason we liked it was they gave us a price of S/40 per person, a big discount. It was clean with all the basic ammenities, including TV and wifi. There is even a pool, which we didn't use. The hot water was unreliable (solar). The elevator was helpful. Most rooms are on the small side. A few rear rooms have the loud sounds of the river, in case you like that. The location is good, close to Plaza de Armas, and only a few blocks from a more popular restaurant district.
I did really enjoy staying at Prim's. My room attendant, Pablo, was very friendly! I forgot my laptop and he kept it at the Lost and Found section. Food was very tasting, I tried Arroz Chaufa, kind of Peruvian Fried Rice. Sheets, toilet and flor were very neat and smelling like fresh apples. I higly recomend Prim´s Hotel!
There are two halves to this hotel - the old, and the recent addition. Be sure to ask for the new section because the old, where we were assigned, is old. Problems with our room included clogged shower head and drain, intermittent warm water, and electrical wall switches that sometimes worked and sometimes not. The room and linens were clean, and the air conditioner worked quietly and efficiently. The lobby, small restaurant and pool area show their age and are best described as adequate. Complimentary breakfast (not provided or available Sunday) is limited to juice, coffee, hard rolls and scrambled eggs. In our opinion it is best to eat lunch and dinner at a legitimate restaurant in town. Service was good and the staff was friendly and helpful, though none spoke English. We would probably stay there again, but only after exploring other options first.…
