Good value
I had a spacious single (9USD$) room with attached bathroom at the rear on the fourth floor. The room was quiet! As other reviewers have remarked Villa Real is more a hotel than a hostel. Do not expect kitchen facilities or cosy communal spaces. However, staff is friendly and there are restaurants and shops nearby. Nice views from the rooftop. I was very much at ease and even extended my stay. Disliked · The hotel lobby doubles as a parking space. It would be helpful if at least cars and motorcycles would not be allowed to start their engines inside. Only cold showers. Location is on the Jaen center margin, but close to the bus station for Chachapoyas. Also keep in mind that the city center is very crowded with people and traffic.
