I went to Kurseong with least expectations and no biased imagination of the place. Cochrane Place stoned me with its stark beauty of the preserved antiquity and the warm hospitality of the staff and the Hosts, Mr & Mrs Arora. The place is a value for money and offers unique ambiance of the British times. The Chai Country by itself...

Me and my wife Checked-in the Cochrane Place on the 26th Jan 2017 and check-out on the 29th. Every single day was worth remembering. We stayed at the deluxe room. The was enormous and had a very big verandah attached to it. The room had a colonial touch to it and was beautifully decorated. It came with a complimentary room...

We stoped over in Kurseong on our way to Darjeeling. We enjoyed the place very much, as it has a lot of character and brings you back to the good old times. The scenery is lovely and when you have time stop by the Tea Research Institute next door - where the scientists are keen to talk to you about...

Coming up from the Bengal place to refreshing Kurseong is a great experience, and this hotel makes a great end of a long day. Authentic heritage atmosphere, friendly people, good food, a beautiful mountain view garden, peaceful and green tea garden environment. I really enjoyed this place!

Staff completely missed the 'customer service' point at every turn. Rooms OK but overpriced. Simple touches such as turning heating on (I was wearing down jacket in the room), explaining meal system would have been welcome. Constantly felt the staff were not on customer's side, right down to the overpriced taxi they organized. Very difficult to enjoy the serenity and...

A quaint place with a colonial charm. Warm and welcoming. Cozy rooms, pleasant and attentive staff and a great tea-bar with some crazy concoctions to try from. Opted for the first floor deluxe room and was gifted with a delightful view of the snow ladened peaks in the Morn. A good stopover on the way to or from Darj. The...

Cocrane Place is quaint historic hotel with friendly staff and excellent service. I visited in November and sat on the balcony gazing at a star filled sky while house lights twinkles on distant hills. Live music was provided during dinner. The hotel serves a hearty breakfast with tables next to open windows with mountain views and opportunity to watch the...

What used to be the colonial mansion of a British family is now one of the best properties in the Eastern Himalayas. Located on Pankhabari Road this property is almost midway between Darjeeling and Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station and a one and a half hour drive both ways. Surrounded by the lush green tea estates like Makaibari,...
