Positives: The long and difficult drive from Kandy up the mountain to the Lodge is worth every bump and jolt! Madulkelle Lodge is situated high above the surrounding tea estate and offers stunning views of the distant Knuckles Range The tent accommodation is comfortable with decent bathroom facilities. Very good food from a set menu with options to suit most...

About 90 minutes drive from Kandy this hotel takes some getting to but is worth it overall. The last part of the road from Madolkele town is really not suitable for cars and although our driver made it up there (just) in his Toyota saloon he was clearly concerned about the potential damage as well as the difficulties of what...

The view, the pool, the tent...those are truly beautiful. You are alone in the middle of the tea plantation it is gorgeous. But considering the price: wifi is poor, the road to come up is aweful, the price of drinks are way too high and the service is...just ok. You can do better guys...

Luxury tents settled within a tea plantation with awesome views of the Knuckles Mountain Range. The "tents" are more luxurious than a lot of hotels I've stayed in. The beauty of the surrounding area is astonishing - offering a hundred different views of the terraced tea-covered hillside and mountains that will constantly make you want to pull your camera out....

I really wish I could give this resort 3.5* as it is such a unique and special place I don't feel I can give it 'average' but there is also room for improvement. Starting with the good: - The grounds and pool are well maintained - The view is exceptional- one of the best I have ever experienced - the...

The location is just magnificent in mist of a tea plantation. The rooms are in fact semi-tents, on a concrete foundation, with a walled bath room. It was very windy when we were there and at night the tent tarpaulins were flapping against each other causing some noise. Sleep was fine nevertheless. Having your tent door open, lying in bed...

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a driver led tour. Getting to the lodge was a nightmare, the jeep wasn't available, our car couldn't access the road, so we ended up getting a tuktuk the 5 or so kms which took best part of 40 minutes, up a dark dirt track with limited passing spaces. The main lodge...

Madulkelle Tea & Eco Lodge is indeed a nice place for relaxation. The gardening is lovely, the food is very good and the views are fantastic. However, one should remember that the 'rooms' are only tents, and not too spacious either, which practically means that they are strictly used for a night's sleep. But what's most annoying is that the...

I always write the reviews after some time so I can write what stuck on my memories about the place not the feeling of the moment which can be subjective. First of all it is not near kandy as they advertise, it is a whole adventure to reach Kandy from the resort. Arriving at this resort after driving through a...

We stayed here for 2 nights in a tent with spectacular views. The tents are very comfortable, and has a separate bathroom. At night, when the stars came out, I felt like we were at a planetarium. You can see so many constellations so clearly. There is a British colonial feel to the dining hut, and the food is very...
