This was our second stay at the Foresters. The rooms are warm, comfortable and clean, the food is excellent and plentiful, the bar is well stocked with interesting Gin and a good selection of Yorkshire beers. Most importantly this is a really welcoming friendly pub, Lesley and Keith greet and treat you like good friends. The locals are friendly and...

Recently re-visited Coverdale after many years and I'm glad there are places such as the Foresters still around to look after visitors to the Dales. This is a very comfy little pub. Our room ( the King ) was spotlessly clean and well appointed; our sleep was deep and undisturbed. The decent ales & spirits on offer in the bar...

Lesley and Keith warmly welcomed us into their home and their warm, friendly manner shine through every second of the day. The Foresters is a fabulous place to stay - beautiful room over looking the fields, gorgeous food (both breakfast and dinner), great ales and lovely staff! Can't wait to go back!

What a pub and what awesome landlords/management and locals! I visited with my Mum who is a Deaf BSL user, she absolutely loved her time there as did I chatting and laughing the night away. We wished we could have visited earlier and more! We hoped to try their food too which we have heard so many good things about....

We went for a Thursday evening meal, it was -2c outside but the welcome within the pub was so warm. Keith and Lesley greeted us on arrival as did the locals in the bar. A lovely country pub tucked away in Carlton in Coverdale, 25 min from Richmond. Good range of local ales and very tasty Sav Blanc. We ate...

Visited here a few times over the Christmas period whilst staying locally in the village, Lesley and Keith really have got this place sorted and made us feel really welcome. Amazed to be offered a gin menu with which we had great fun in sampling many different local gins and tonics. We also had an amazing meal one night in...

We have just stayed a night and found the whole experience enjoyable. The landlord and landlady are professional and put us the customer first, as did the bar staff. A great place to stay and go walking. The slight problem we had was there was no food on for Sunday night although we were offered a Sunday lunch. I do...
