One of the main reasons for booking our vacation at Popa Paradise was that it described itself as being 'the only All inclusive, Adults Only (18+) resort in Panama' (as per the resorts web site). Much to our surprise on arriving to the resort, under the age of 18 guests were on site. By the end of our 8 night...

Thank you for this review, and for giving us the opportunity to clarify our Adults-Only policy for the benefit of future guests. We are grateful that these guests mostly enjoyed their stay, despite some inclement weather and a couple of badly behaved guests. With regards to our 18+ policy, we do make rare exceptions for older teens (16 or 17...

The website's description of barefoot luxury perfectly encapsulates the feel of this resort. Popa has the pampering attentiveness and comfort of a 5 star hotel in a nature-appropriate atmosphere. Everything about this trip was perfect. The owners handled everything from pick up in Bocas to drop off, made us feel comfortable, and attended to us without hounding. We were never...

Hi Marisa, Thank you so much for your kind review; it is really gratifying when our efforts are rewarded with such praise. It was really a treat for us to get to know you both, during a time when we were not very busy, and able to provide individual attention. And thank you for helping us "break in" our new...

I visited Popa Paradise for 4 nights at the end of November (feel bad this review is going up sooo late!), and it was mostly the serene paradise I had been seeking. I was meeting up with a friend from another city for a 4 night girls only vacation, but because of Hurricane Otto, we only got 2 days together....

Thanks guys, for the time spent with us and for the wonderful review. It was great to have you here; we enjoyed in particular the European flavor of our conversations, bringing a bit of our own home to Popa for the holidays. Despite some typical rainy periods that one can expect at this time of year, we are pleased that...

There are some great things about this spot: it is really out of the way, and you will never feel like you have bought into a chain resort/big box trip. Having a pool and beach is a bonus. Staff are lovely and helpful. Yoga and massage options were great. Drinks were solid. Nice to have open common space with pingpong,...

We are very sorry that your stay did not live up to your expectations. We tried hard to accommodate your food restrictions; but clearly we failed to do so. Dear Xandy and David, We are delighted to have received these short but wonderful comments on your part. It is a great honor to host guests who have chosen Popa Paradise for their honeymoon, following the advice of a family member who was already our guest. Thanks very much for bringing to us the wonderful photo album taken during the...

So, let's state the clear positives of this resort. First, the island and shoreline are beautiful and it is nicely secluded. Having both the sea and a true rain forest is a plus. The staff and managers are very nice people. But.... The food is horrible. My family and I are seasoned world travelers and we rank the food here...

I rarely write bad reviews, but after our poor experience here, I felt it was necessary. Let me also preface this review by saying that my husband and I travel frequently/widely to many countries around the world. We often stay in small “off the grid” resorts and lodges, mainly in Africa and the Caribbean. Most are accessible only by air...

We thank this writer for her review, and for the extensive descriptions of her experiences in Africa and elsewhere – she is clearly an experienced, sophisticated and demanding traveler. Far superior, evidently, to the hundreds of satisfied guests that have had a great time at our hotel, enjoyed the food and left positive reviews. As owner of the hotel, I...

Thanks Laura for taking the time to write us a review, and also for appreciating the work and efforts of our employees. You definitely have been a bit unlucky with the weather.
