We stayed for 3 nights in March in the attic room with en suite bathroom. Room was well presented and clean. Good size bathroom with some toiletries provided in case you forget to bring some! Attic room perfect for us as neither of us very tall however the sloped ceilings may not suit a taller person. Very quiet and peaceful...

The location is amazing, beautiful views and the house is great. The breakfast every morning was delicious. James is very welcoming and is one of the greatest storytellers, with an excellent sense of humor. Hope to be back soon. -From Toronto, Canada

Had wonderful Cajun white ate, selection of meats & warm bread, and a portion of chips, washed down with Oystercatcher bitter. Delicious. Dog friendly in the bar, which is wonderful, plenty of fresh water about.

Quiet b&b. James is very friendly & welcoming. Always had a story to tell & has a great sense of humour. Breakfast was lovely and scenery lovely to. The only down side was its not very private. We had a bedroom in a house. You have to leave your room to go to the bathroom, which u don't share with...

The view was spectacular and the amenities terrific. James Curran, the proprietor, was an excellent host and we enjoyed his conversation at his perfectly cooked breakfasts (James has a special technique for frying eggs) where we talked about his over 100 trips to London, many trips to Scotland, and Van Morrison. just had 2 day visit to oystercatcher guest house, very welcoming host, great local knowledge, Beautiful clean rooms with great views of sea and mountains, especially upper glass veranda. Lovely breakfast/ lots of choice plus healthy smoothies! Whole house can be rented out on occasion. Would like to stay again

This was our second stay at the fantastic Oystercatcher. It is a home from home and far more than a traditional BnB.Wonderful bed and breakfast. Hosts, James couldn't be more welcoming, helpful and kind. Every whim catered for! Abundance of local knowledge!....Lots of humour and interesting stories! You eat the delicious and wholesome breakfast, you don't have to eat again...

Wonderful place! Beautiful cottage, the host was really welcoming and the rooms were a great size and really clean. Managed to get a room that sleeps 3 people which we had struggled with previously. Very impressed with the location and the B&B, James is a great host with plenty of local knowledge and makes you feel very welcome and at home ! A very well furnished house with magnificent views of the coastline and mountains , I will be back again and have already recommended the Oystercatcher to my friends & family.

Just back from 3 nights in The Oystercatcher. Loved it here. I can understand why it is known as the best in Rostrevor. Lovely King size room with very large bathroom and private balcony with views of Carlingford Lough. Very clean, comfortable and homely. Excellent breakfasts and very friendly people.
