In the middle of the village of Fuissé, surrounded by vineyards we stayed here for 4 nights and dined in the restaurant L'O des Vignes and in the Bar a vin both belonging to Sebastian Chambru(see the reviews). La maison du herisson is a unique place to stay, you enter through a courtyard and into the huge kitchen dining room...

7km from Macon. We arrived after 9 hours travelling to this beautiful converted farmhouse. Immediately instilling calm and relaxation. The hotel was unlocked but no one around, and we found the owner in the restaurant, a short walk away. He was chalming and welcoming, and showed us to our room, accessed via stone steps and through its own terrace. The...

We stayed in "La maison du Hérisson" for the pentacost week-end with some friends and our respective children. We were allocated two rooms on the top floor and our friends another room just on the first floor, and we all loved it. The rénovations Stéphanie (the owner) made are aboslutely fantastic and really make it a cosy place to stay....

I have stayed at this establishment twice, the first time was a great experience and this last time not nearly so good. I booked a room, several months ago, Violette, and this was confirmed in writing. When i arrived I was told that my room had to be changed as a Dutch group were arriving for a one night stay...

I am very sorry to read that you did'nt enjoy your last stay, but I remember you have been sick during those 2 days and it surely didn't help! I tried to do my best , giving you a spacious room, with your own bathroom and private toilets ( even 2 meters from the room). Fortunately, most of my guests...

We discovered La Maison du Hérisson per chance and were so grateful to be able to have a room there after a long day on the road. This house is a beautifully renovated house in the quiet village of Fuissé - Stephanie created a haven with wonderful paint colors, charming furniture, rugs and art-work. Also very important to us, our...

Thank you so much taking the time to give your advice for writing your advice! My husband and baby boy of 5 months stayed a La Maison du Herisson for 2 nights, Stephanie advised to stay in the blue room as there was more space for a cotbed (lent by her) and a private terrace. I already had a really good feeling about the place based on excellent reviews and friendly voice of Stephanie, but...

We arranged to have Sunday lunch in the beaujolais countryside with friends from Chalon-sur-Saône. We found this chambre d'hôte in Fuissé written up in Le Figaro's Sunday magazine. Given that we love the wines and cuisine of the region, we gave La Maison du Herisson a try. First, the property is lovely -- lilac's were in bloom in its cobblestone...

Stephanie was away but Margot did an excellent job as a hostess. Were meant to be staying in the Vigne Blanche Hotel but it had closed without warning so to find this wonderful B&B was a bonus. Thank you for a very warm welcome and delicious home cooked food. Margot, you're English was excellent compared to my schoolboy french.
