Visited this pub on the August bank holiday. Very impressed by friendly warm staff. Very attentive. Covid measures in place. Order using Round app and table service provided. The food was also amazing. Best scampi I’ve had in a long while. Plenty of it for a great price. Thank you for making us welcome on a cold wet night x

We had a perfect meal with friendly attentive staff. We were very impressed with the very well thought out safety measures put in place. Outside marquis for 3 housholds. Inside there were clear informative posters, a one way system with dividers , door lock to whole toilets to ensure only 1 in at a time, foot door pushers, paper disposable menus, tables well spaced out, staff wearing visors/masks, sanitisers on way in and out, table service only, optional app for ordering. A most pleasant and safe evening thanks

We have visited this pub several times over the last three years and every time we have felt very welcome and well looked after. On one occasion the beer we had was past its best but we didn’t even need to tell the landlord, he came and asked us and replaced our drink even though we had consumed nearly half of it. The place is always clean and the staff are always pleasant. The food is great and good value to boot! I would give it six stars if I could.

We stayed one night in a double room which had everything we needed, tea/coffee making, TV, en-suite with shower soap, shampoo etc. provided. Its on the main road but has very good secondary glazing, my husband has acute hearing and didn't hear the road noise at all. We ha our evening meal there with family joining us. The happily accommodated my dairy free diet and we all enjoyed our meal . Breakfast the next day was cooked to order so nice and hot. A lovely family run pub with lots of customers and a log fire!

Visited this lovely pub /restaurant tonight for our wedding anniversary. Bar staff so friendly, menu choices were fantastic, staff so helpful and polite. The setting was clean with a very cheerful atmosphere. There was a roaring open fire to add to the ambiance. Food was beautifully cooked and presented. A great choice and also very reasonable. Can't wait to go back
