This place is superlative and can't begin to describe our 2 night stay here. Peaceful and quiet. The perfect escape if you're looking for rest and relaxation!! It's at the northern most end of the Bacalar Lagoon. Off the main highway you drive down a 3km dirt road through scrubby jungle. The end result is worth every bump! This is...

On the outskirts of Bacalar, down a VERY long dirt road, is, one of the most beautiful resorts one can imagine. Everything is simply magic!! The grounds and gardens are stunning and make one feel as if they are in an European chateau. And the Lagoon!! The lagoon is beyond gorgeous at sunset. The owner Robert welcomed us and made...

Bacalar Lagoon Resort was built for the sole purpose of providing an opportunity for guests to relax in a beautiful natural setting in front of Bacalar Lagoon where the only sounds are birds and animals and no other hotels are visible . In our web site and on the pages of Expedia.com and Booking.com and also Googel maps it clearly...

15 minutes down an unimproved narrow dirt road hemmed in by dense forest, your anticipation steps up; what could be at the end of this road? The Bacalar Lagoon Resort signs are reassuring in the absence of any other evidence of habitation. But then, a wide steel gate between tall tiled walls frames an immaculate white gravel driveway that meanders...

I recently just got back from a weekend getaway to Bacalar Lagoon Resort and it was amazing! This resort itself is beautiful! The grounds are full of different trees and flowers and is very well maintained. The rooms are private casas with really comfortable beds and good hot showers. They have palapas on the beach with lots of lounge chairs...

We've stayed in many lagoon- and ocean-facing resorts on the Yucatan Peninsula over the past 20 years. This is among the very best. It features pristine, lagoon-facing cottages just a few Km off Hwy 307, kayaks for lagoon fun and plenty of beach chairs for total relaxation. Delicious meals may be ordered from the onsite restaurant and decent WiFi is...

Beautiful spot on the lagoon. Water was really warm and the place was like new. Our cabana was really nice. Not far off highway on a dirt road. About 3 miles. Food was good. Very quiet and relaxing. Worth it for the privacy.

I have to start by a very bad point: the signalisation of the hotel !!!!! When I book the hotel, I know it was not in Bacalar precisely, but I didn't know it would be so hard to find though ! Be aware that if you're coming by night, you won't see the little sign in the opposite of the...
