I Planned a little get away trip and I chose this hotel because when I asked for information on their website, Nelly from reservations deparment was very polite and answered all my questions, it was not like a pre elaborated answer some hotels send you. Then when we arrived, we where recieved very kindly by Claudia at the front desk...

We found the restaurant to deliver really good meals with fresh bread and excellent service. The rooms are really nice - especially the lakeside ones. I read some reviews about road noise but lakeside this is not an issue. Really good showers with plenty of hot water. A little disappointed by the lake which, although really nice is, no match...

Beautiful, tranquil, except when the semi-trucks go roaring by, but if your under the 7 colored waters you can't hear them....great little cabana rooms on the laguna, and a few less expensive places back aways. If you get there when there are not too many occupants you can talk them down a little and it is worth the dough. TRY...

And i do travel a lot..but this resort was the most incredible experience ever! The rooms are very clean and the bathrooms have real toilets (which is not very common in Mexico) The restaurant serves excellent food and the staff is very friendly with special thanks to the receptionist Claudia for making this stay such a great experience!

What a find! The guide books really underestimate this one! Absolutely charming people, excellent restaurant with great fish especially, service endlessly smiley, even when we turned up at some odd times. We could all have stayed much longer in our gorgeous huge rooms/cabanas with loads of hot water, or be very happy to laze and kayak in the stunning lake,...

The only drawback to this fantastic place is that it is close to the highway and a bit noisy at night. However, that one drawback is easily overlooked when weighed against all the wonderful features of this hotel. The resort is an easy drive from Cancun, or you can catch a bus. The grounds are beautiful and the lake is...

Words cannot express the beauty and tranquility of Rancho Encantado. Located right on Lake Bacular (the Lake of the Seven Colors) our family found a vacation spot that we hope to visit over and over. After a disasterous start to our vacation (Mexicana went out fo business and never told us) we arrived late at the Rancho to be greated...

My family (3 boys and husband) spent 5 weeks traveling around the Yucatan. I had read the terrible review from max4321 and actually decided not to go to Bacalar and Rancho Encantado because of it. Close call! We were robbed in the Riviera Maya so decided to cut short our vacation there and hit the road. We drove north and...
