Our friends, who live in Cancun, took us to this quiet, lovely place for 5 days of bliss. We knew it would be great when the locals wanted to stay there. After driving south from Cancun, we arrived late in the evening and were greeted by Courtney, one of the guests, who walked us along the white sand path to... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. It's well out of the way, not very easy to access, but we knew that and rented a Jeep. It's a perfect spot, staff is accommodating, food was pricey, but good. This is not a luxurious place, so if you're looking for that, try Sol Caribe down the road. This place is laid back,... More

If you like large hotel complexes with all the facilities then this is not for you! If however you are looking for something with character, off the beaten track where you get to know the other guests in a social setting together with the team that run the hotel then this IS for you!! We stayed two nights and enjoyed... More

The vibe of this place is right and the host are outstanding. It took us 40 minutes from the arch to reach the place in a Jeep, and we could have cut at least 5 minutes off if two separate vehicles and allowed me to pass. Cheap beers considering the remote location and great sea breezes to keep it cool.... More

Once we were at Xamach Dos it was good—good food, very relaxing and quiet, and a beautiful beach. Don't expect creature comforts like air conditioning, this is not that—it's a bunch of cabanas in the middle of the jungle on the beach, which is what we were looking for. Also if you want to get in touch with the local... More

After a bumpy ride down the road (keeps the riff raff out) you arrive at Xamach Dos. First impression are of a small group of Cabanas on the beach out in the jungle. But, it is so much more. Quiet, relaxing, beautiful escape from reality. Amazing food, amazing food…did I say that twice?! There are no battles for beach chairs... More

Beautiful setting. If you are looking for something different - quieter and maybe a bit more laid back from Cancun and Tulum, this is a great place. The only draw back is that there is no other place to get food or drinks close by.

If it's rained, don't got unless you have a jeep. The road is crazy bad, was flooded, and we just couldn't get there in our standard car. We asked if we needed a bigger one, and were told we'd be fine - but after taking two hours to drive 15k and 5k from the place we couldn't get any further... More

I typically go to Mexico in the summer because I like it hot and less people. This is one of my many stays at XD,but unfortunately I hit a rainy stretch. I stayed in the Treehouse for part of my stay and it was great. Dan and his daughter have done a great job and have been busy renovating some... More
