I had been backpacking through Ecuador and decided I wanted a jungle experience. I didn't know what the Suchipakari Lodge had to offer but due to its location I thought I'd give it a go. I recommend arriving earlier in the day as once it gets dark it is very difficult to find the lodge. There is a sign at...

Room: The cabin was ok, but there was no hot water and that was not disclosed up front. The lodge should make a point to notify people of that. There was a missing faucet where the hot water should be. Cleanliness: I would rate cleanliness average. Location: This place was not very deep into the jungle, so you will not...

Service at the lodge was excellent. It was a pity the Spanish lessons I took before my trip around the country didn’t penetrate my thick skull too well, but fortunately I encountered enough English speaking guides and fellow travellers to enrich my journey. I was solo, but Carlos (from the Bronx) took me on two x day trips in a...

where do I begin this part of our trip was just perfect, great accomidations, fantastic food, and the activities were both fun and interesting. Suchipakari was an incredible experience that I will never forget. I've actually been there twice, once with a friend and later with a university group. The lodge handled both types of experiences with expertise. Suchipakari supports surrounding indigenous communities, providing them with resources and volunteers to contribute to local development initiatives, making it a one-of-a-kind place with an altruistic purpose....

I've been in Ecuador for a while, and stayed at some all-inclusive places. I guess I've gotten spoiled.
